2014, Feb. 10-14: Scamp Camp 2014

It might be a little early and it might not. Who's going to Scamp Camp 2014 at Highland Hammock in Feb. 2014? I don't know about anyone else but I'm bored and counting the days. The misses and I are looking forward to it. How about you??

I'm thinking about it for the New Year.

(Which as I write is only ... oh, eighteen weeks away; Christmas seventeen.)

Can only do the weekend though. So thinking of going down either Friday night depending on check-in times allowed; or Saturday morning.

Last year (2013) I saw Scamps ,Casitas, EggCampers, Parkliners, UHauls and probably several others but forgot their names. We plan on going back in 2014. Going there allows you to put faces on the members from this website and Yes: Floyd is as handsome as you imagined

What are the actual dates of the event. We plan on wintering in southern Georgia as we did last year, and maybe venture into Florida in February so maybe could attend.

Dates 2/10/2014 to 2/14/2013

We spent about about 2 to 3 weeks last February- March between Reed Bingham SP ,Crooked River SP, Seminole SP and Amicalola Falls SP in Georgia . We found the Georgia State Parks to be beautiful , clean and the sites were very large so you had your privacy. Being from the northern part of Wisconsin ,we also found the climate to be more favorable in Georgia than more southern states. One of the best parts of going to Scamp Camp for the first time was discovering Georgia

Danbury Wisconsin A small town ( 1 grocery ,1 church, 1 gas station ,0 schools 6 bars) near the St Croix River, About 40 miles south of Superior Wi. on the Minnesota/ Wisconsin border. High today here will be 95 , only beer and the thoughts of the upcoming deer hunting season are keeping the suicide rate down

Your at mid nintys and we'll be lucky to hit 90 today. Still hot and muggy but we love it here. You going to the scamp camp in feb. at Highlands hammock here in Florida?

Scamp Camp... here I come

I am so there... it's right down the road from me! I hibernate in Clermont and have been eye balling a place in Lake Mary to scamp at from time to time

Keep me in the loop... Me, the dog and the incredible Scamp are there! Be great to see what others have done, mine is still a livable work in progress

Heather,
nutzy in New England

Those are the official dates. Monday - Friday. Many show up a little early and some stay a little later.

Heather when I was putting the rally map for 2014 together I checked those dates and they are correct - the formally meet is over by the morning of Saturday 15th - but lots of folks arrive early and leave late or so I was told.
