2014, May 15-18: Roy's Fishless Rally

After several years, ole Roy has retired from his Fish Fry Rally.
With his blessing, we will be honoring Roy's work with a rally on beautiful Lake Shelbyville in East Central Illinois. The rally will be next May 15-18 at Corps of Engineer campground "Bo Wood" South of Sullivan, Illinois.
You can reserve sites 6 months ahead at www.reserveamerica.com or www.recreation.gov enter "Bo Wood" or call 877-444-6777. Sites with Senior Federal Pass rates are $9
We recommend that you reserve as soon as possible after November 15 as sites are very popular and tend to fill early. We will be on sites #50 through #77. All these sites are in beautiful timber on a cove of Lake Shelbyville.
There are lots of things to do in area and we will send more info next spring.
Looking forward to seeing all of you next May.
Your hosts, Linda & Jerry Wedeking and Judy & Dennis Ozier

Bummer. 7 hours plus drive. A little more than my comfort zone for a one day trip. Maybe the next time....

Sorry we can't join you in 2014. Once again that weekend is high school graduation in our school district.

Hello and happy SPRING!!??
Please let us know if you would like to visit an Amish family and have Friday dinner with them in their home. Cost is around $10pp. They will serve a traditional Amish meal and talk about their customs and might even entertain us with a song. If enough say yes, we will make the reservation for Friday May 16.
Only other plan will be potluck on Saturday evening. We will supply BBQ pulled pork sandwiches.
Rest of time to fish in Lake Shelbyville which is only 50' down the hill from your campsite, just relax around campfire or explore area.
Looking forward to our first rally.
See you there, Lynda & Jerry and Judy & Dennis

Friday Dinner

Connie and I would also be interested in attending the Amish dinner Friday... we are heading to southern Missouri next week to camp and fish...this retirement thing seems to be OK!

I won't have our 72 Cloud ready but would like to drive down to see all the eggs to get hints on fixing ours up. Can I get in campground to see? I have a Senior pass. Thanks, George

Anyone here who has a Freedom and is within the local area and willing to show your trailer, can you let me know...my mom has been wanting to see my new casita, but cannot travel to Washington state. A Freedom owner will not be able to make it to the Turkey Run rally as he had expected....Thanks!

Okay, it sounds like mom is still interested in going... I mean the only dif is the side seats for petes sake, so we are planning to take a tour. My sis will be joining us. Am very interested in seeing the Bigfoot if he makes it and a Trillium, have heard abt these trailers for years.
Mother probably doesn't realize how small these trailers really are, hope she won't require smelling salts afterwards:-)
Ed, sorry you can't make it.
Weather for Saturday at least, overcast and 70.
