2015, May 27-31: EGG Fest 2015

As asked for at the Door county Wi event last June, we will be having our 5th event at Eagle Cliff campground, Lanesborro Mn ( south of I90 and Mn Hwy 52.
The dates are May 27th thru May 31st 2015. they are holding Loops A,B, and C for us
We will have a web page as soon as we can, like Eggs at Egg Harbor.
The camp ground is under new ownership and they want this event to be great. They are building an large 150 person indoor area with kitchen for our potluck. They are also offering to use their shuttllebus to bring us into Lanesborro for events there. Fees for these will be worked out as we go.

Eagle Cliffs web page is: Eagle Cliff Campground | Lanesboro, Minnesota for reservations - tell them you are with EGG Fest.

if you have any questions pm me Jim Hovind

Thumbs up

Sounds like a winner.....will go to local bank tomorrow and see if free 2015 calendars are available so i can look up dates. Will call tomorrow for reservations. It will be nice to hear those northern mid-west accents again plus the hospitality, pop corn, lots of music, good food, and mosquitoes. Imo and carolyn from missouri.

In SE Minnesota there are very few mosquitoes as there are no lakes, only creeks and rivers. Eagle Cliff is on the Root river and has rafting, canoeing, and biking on a old rail road bed. There are bike and canoe rentals available in the area. There are also Amish goods for sale in the Lanesboro park on Saturdays.

As a SE Minnesota dweller, I wouldn't count on no mosquitos, but it is early enough that there won't be an overabundance of them yet.

Hi IMO This is Lee and Lynda we met you at Egg Harbor. We had the Old English Sheepdog, Charlie. We had to put Charlie down this year and now have a 7 month old OES puppy. Looking forward to seeing you at Lansboro.

Terry and I have our retirement condo in Lanesboro. We'll try to make it, but probably without our Casita.

Enjoy,

Perry

My first rally also!

I hope all you wild and crazy folks do not keep me awake all night. I am counting on my sister to join us also with her vintage El Macho. Looking forward to meeting you all.
Are there newbie instructions for rallys? Tips?

Welcome. We attended our first rally/gathering last year and my wife and I (even the dogs) had a great time! We really didn't know what to expect, but everyone made us feel welcomed. Morning Cowboy Coffee is usually available at one of the sites as well as music and popcorn in the evening. A potluck dinner is usually planned for one night. Just be ready to join in the fun and have a great time meeting new friends! I remember last year at one of the last gatherings I went to shake hands with someone and instead she hugged me and said "your part of the family now!"

We are so sad, we missed the Door County gathering last year because we were headed out to Glacier NP on the dates it was happening, now this year we are going to be missing out on the meet because..well..we are getting married on those dates..pretty sure she would not agree to change those date now. ha. Well we will be on the lookout for the 2016 event. Sorry we can't be there.

We won't make it this year. We'll be helping our daughter as she competes in the BBQ competition at the "Smokin' in Steele BBQ and Blues Festival" just down the road a bit in Owatonna, MN. If you're out for a road trip Saturday, stop in for some great BBQ and music. Wander over to April's Big City BBQ and say hi. We alway's like to visit with fiberglass RVers.
