Lynne, we didn't make Townsend. We didn't feel prepared for the rain. Maybe next year. We are looking forward to Cherokee. I see that you guys are getting a new camper and selling your house. Hope that is going okay. We recently sold our mother's in that same area and it went fast.

Good to see some activity here!
Cat,
What Lynne said will put you in the mist of things.
Generally speaking, when entering the park take an immediate left. FG campers will be on both sides of that road. That is the front creek on your left. And the lake will be on your right. The first, second, and third RH turns will put you sandwiched between the lake and the back creek. Generally a lot of us there.
At and near the comfort station.

Registered for Cherokee Rally
I'm new to forum because I have a "new" 1982 Scamp 13' Standard. Registered for Ralley to learn all about fiberglass Rv-ing and rehabbing my camper.

We'll be at Smokemont just north of Cherokee that weekend and would like to come over to Happy Holidays for the rally. This is my first fall since I retired and we've never been to a rally.

Sometimes rallies just happen where you are. See you at Smokemont. We'll be in the C loop.

2Doc checking in
Hi all
2Doc (Dr. Mar and Dr. Sax) here. We are the fiddle/banjo duo and have a Lil' Snoozy. We booked our same spot when we left the 2014 rally. Are there any plans? Guess this is really a note to say HEL-LO-O-O!

Janet and I will have colored streamers at our site (815) for those who wish to participate in the egg parade on Saturday.
In the A.M. sites:

925-927
In the P.M.
70 -93

If you would like to participate stop by pick up a ribbon and tie it on your camper Saturday A.M. This will signify your camper is available for touring.
Thanks ad see you there.

A big THANK YOU goes to RT and Janet for taking charge of the egg parade!!!
The egg showing is a very important part of the weekend! So pleased that they have stepped up and it will happen.
Just called Happy Holiday to learn the number of registered campers. They said they have at least 39 trailers registered in the event book. They were unsure if there might be a few more.
Unfortunately I also learned that they have enacted a $50 fee to use the rec room. I will go ahead a pay the fee and hope that we can pass the hat to cover it. They said it was a cleaning fee, not a fee for every time we use the building.
2Doc, did you reserve the rec room for Friday night? One Happy Holiday person said it had been reserved but the event person, Jeannie, said it had not been reserved.
Hope we can have a repeat of the wonderful music.
Can't think of anything else. Does anyone have any questions?

Rec room reservation
We reserved the rec room upon departure last year for Friday night for a sing-a-long. At the time, management indicated there would be no charge. We don't plan on presenting a program as such, more just a group get-together for singing, whatever. We'll check tomorrow to confirm the reservation for Friday night and ask if there is, indeed, a $50 fee.

Melissa, No program needed...just music and fellowship!
Glad you are checking back with them. Let me know...we don't want them to get 50 bucks from several different people.

Usually there's a pot luck dinner Saturday night where everybody brings a dish. I thought I saw where the the rec room had been reserved for both Friday and Saturday nights but not sure.

Thanks R.T. We've never been to an Egg Ralley so not sure what to expect. My wife makes the best yellow squash casserole! I wish I could hitch my reverse flow smoker to the back of my Boler I would bring it up and slow smoke some butts for pulled pork BBQ to share...
