Hmmmm

This was the first rally we could make. We had a great time and had no problems with the campground or employees at all. They were very busy on Thursday but still came over to fix a small leak in their faucet.

It was great to meet all of you and we look forward to going there again. I definitely would not go over the Cherokee mountain again. We left via the 441 to 23/74 to 19 to US40. Much easier and I could actually take my eyes off the road for a second or two. Oh, and the woman at the front desk suggested that to us.

I don't remember camping anywhere where there are no wi-fi issues, but at least they had cable.

We really enjoyed the rally and meeting everyone. Aside from the very cool reception from the front desk when we checked in, we didn't have any interface with the campground mgmt. We really hope that a future fall rally can be held in this area. We arrived Wed. and visited Biltmore (our first time) on Thursday. The drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway from Maggie Valley to Asheville was spectacular.

Thank you to Lynne, Terri, and Lana for taking care of the dealings with Happy Holiday, the potluck and Dutch oven demo. I enjoyed the food and learned a lot from the demo.

I do have a few pictures but wasn't sure about the rules for posting on this site.

Am I correct in assuming the 2016 Cherokee rally will be October 13-15 at Happy Holiday? I am trying to get time off work and the schedule is going around now. Thanks in advance!

Yes Bryan, these are the dates I marked on my calendar for 2016. I hope somebody steps up and takes the lead on organizing this rally. Maybe a planning committee of 4 or 5 would be a good idea; that way no one person feels overwhelmed pulling it together? Anybody interested?

That weekend will likely be a conflict for me at work as it was this year and we had to cancel/push our trip back a few weeks. I really wish the dates were the following weekend (20-23) so we could attend as this is the closet rally to us that we know of
