We don't have a Scamp, so going to sneak in for a couple days until we get booted out

Bob you don't have to have a Scamp. there's always plenty of non-Scamps.

We'll be wandering around seeing old and new friends for a couple of days. Our place is only about 20 miles from Highland Hammocks.

The Scamp Camp in Sedona this weekend has Scamps, Escapes, a Casita & Lil' Snoozy, and a small Stick Built Class A. Of course the weather just might be a little different!

Mary & Bob, I have been going there for 4 years and have never seen a schedule on the web. When you check in on arrival you will be given a schedule of events and whatever else they have to give you. If you can't find the check-in site stop by out site (#69) I'll direct you to them. Should be a good time. Looking forward to it.

Check-in is at site #77, see Dick Freed, there is usually a tent with "Flat Stanley" out front and someone to check you in... if no one is there see me or Debbie on site#76.

We tried to get a site----all booked up is right, Mike!

The park ranger did offer us a "wilderness" site, though. Have zero idea how far from the actual rally these sites might be.

Does anyone know?

We're in Daytona, so if push comes to shove, we might drive over just for the day. Which day would be the best???

Talking Maiden Voyage of Gem and Teal

...Wow... did not know there was a Scamp Camp in Sedona this weekend?? I just headed north on my maiden voyage with my 'Gem', 16ft 2007 Scamp, towing with my 2004 Toyota Highlander V6 Limited. First stop from Clarkdale...only 20 miles from Sedona... was Lake Mead. Stayed at Boulder Beach Campground... if you go... know that there is a $10 fee to enter the recreation area (good for 7 days) if just passing thru not the best idea, plus $10 to camp at the dry campground, $33 to use the RV park with full hookups and facilities... I had an electrical problem so had to go to the RV park... ouch!

Got all my issues resolved thanks to my car guru and DB Automotive in Boulder City... awesome fellas got me all fixed up with extra fuses and knowledge in case it happens again... overloaded a circuit with new lighting set up... my car guru will further investigate when I return.

Planning on 4 nights in St. George UT, 3 nights in Laughlin, and 3 nights in Lake Havasu City... all seeing family and friends for my first solo holiday.

Gem travels with ease behind my Highlander a very comfortable ride if I do say so. I'll figure out how to download my pictures from my phone and finally post one on my account.

Too bad I am missing the Sedona Camp.... would have been nice to meet some locals. I will be looking for camps this year in the West. Is there one in Arkansas? or Santa Fe? both on my list. Merry Christmas to everyone!

We took a walk by the Wilderness sites last year. Easy bike ride from there to the main rally. Not a bad walk either. The main campground is on the North side of Hammock rd, while the Wilderness area is on the South side. If I recall, they had a comfort station and a place where you could fill water jugs, but no electric hookups.

We would really like to come and see all the other Scamps and show ours, but there are no sites! If anyone here needs to cancel contact me and I will take your site and save you the cancellation fee! Thanks, Danny
