I think the campground just opened yesterday, so they do have a short season.
There have been a couple of cancelations, so there is least a water/ electric site and a full service. Looking forward to seeing our fiberglass friends, old and new.
Tony and Darlene.

My wife Nancy will be hosting a knitting / crochet (or any kind of needlegwork) get-together during the gathering. After Mukwanago, Nancy was surprised at the number of knitters with projects and thought it would be fun to have it as one of the gathering's activities.

Tony should have it on the schedule so remember to bring your current project with you.

Expect cool weather

The forecast shows highs around 70 and lows in the mid50s, for what it's worth. Campground now has WiFi throughout the grounds, a change from 2014. Safe travels everyone.

Bryan, We certainly are willing to show trailers to visitors, trailer tour Saturday at 10 AM to whenever. You may want to contact the campground to locate an appropriate place to park. We are at site # 411, although we're usually busy herding cats. Feel free to introduce yourself and have a walk around.

Thanks For the good wishes Steve,
I will try to post some photos or more likely someone more knowledgeable will help me with that. Weather looks good at this time, but there have been 4 changes in the forecast since I've been following it the last week. There is normally a rally in June with the "usual suspects", but under different rally names, in the upper Midwest. Three young families have signed up, might bring the average age down a year. Hope to see you down the road.

There will be a stray Casita over at Peninsula Park most of the week as we are over there camping with relatives. We will probably stop by sometime.

Hi Dave,
You might want to ask the office where to park when you come, trailer tour at 10 AM Saturday but most folks are willing anytime. We got in at 6 PM tonight, brief shower but we got set up before the rain. See you later in the week.

Road Construction for those heading to Egg Harbor

We were just up in Door County over the weekend & wanted to let people know about road construction. The big bridge in Sturgeon Bay is closed & the detour will route you through town. We found the truck route detour to be shorter and less of a hassle.

Thanks for posting this Kari, we took the route through town and it was long with many stop signs. So the truck route sounds better. Beautiful this AM, not too many mosquitoes, rain this afternoon and then it looks good the rest of the way. See everyone later in the week.
Your hosts, Tony and Darlene

Maybe I shouldn't tell everybody this little local secret. If you really want to do it right, take the first left over either of the downtown bridges onto First Ave., drive on First Ave. until it ends and take a left onto Third Ave., which turns into Bay Shore Dr., keep going and it will take you along the shore all the way to Egg Harbor. I prefer the old steel bridge because it is easy to turn onto First Ave. If you take the newer bridge you may be better off driving up to Third Ave. and just taking that all the way out but it is busier downtown. It's hard to get across Michigan Street on First Ave. pulling a trailer.

The shore drive is much better, more beautiful, slower, but still about the same time. You will avoid all the construction traffic and probably thank me for it too.

Thanks for the tip Dave. If you consider this you may want to map it in that I'm not sure if the "newer" bridge is the one being detoured.

Big Thanks

A big thanks goes out to Tony and Darlene for hosting another great Egg Harbor adventure!

I still didn't get to do the lighthouse tour, so I guess you will have to host Egg Harbor III in a few years.

Thanks again for all of your hard work.
