We agree. A great job by fantastic people. We did do the lighthouse on rock island. Worth doing. Thanks so much.

Eggs at Egg Harbor 2

This was our first rally. We had high expectations of having fun, meeting new people, and making new friends. The Eggs at Egg Harbor 2 rally vastly exceeded all of our expectations! We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Tony and Darlene for hosting the event and also thank all the wonderful people who helped to make this event possible. We had a fantastic time, met wonderful people, and made new friends. The fellowship, food, music, and entertainment were outstanding and will remain fondly in our memories. Once again, we wish to thank everyone for a truly enjoyable experience.

Rally summary

We had a great turnout (about 120 folks), with 59 trailers, 9 brands, 8 states and Manitoba. As always it's the people who make these things go. The fact that the weather was good and the mosquitos not too abundant helped. A brief shower shortened the potluck, but we got it in. The new trailer brands (Parkliner and Lil Snoozy) were attractions but all the new rally participants and 3 young families were a plus.
Thanks to all who pitched in: Lyndon for use of his site for the gatherings, Pete and musicians for their nightly work, Hartmans and Parrs for their willingness to do whatever, Bernie and Luc for the waffles (breakfast was great), Floyd for his tech session and knowledge in general, Kathy for IT and rally support, Jen for EZ up assistance, and all others I may have neglected to mention.
Tony and Darlene, your convivial hosts

We're new-to-us Scamp owners and hoped to make it to this event last summer but it wasn't meant to be. Sounds like it was a great time! Will Eggs at Egg Harbor be happening in 2017? We don't want to miss it!

Just for clarification; Is the rally at Blackhawk Lake SP or at Blackhawk Lake Recreational Area ?.
I find the later listed on the Web, but no listing for Blackhawk Lake State Park .

Steve,
The area is actually a county park within or border by, (I forget which) state owned property. It is my understanding that the county manages the park since the state did not want to create and run another state park It is officially called Blackhawk Lake Recreation Area; however, their website is simply blackhawklake.com. If you go the google site webpage we are using for organizing the rally it has links to several pages of the parks website. I have enlarged the campground map so it is easier to use than theirs. Look at our page:
https://sites.google.com/site/scramb...khawklake/home
and from there click on "Making Reservations" on the left hand side of the page. We are also using the fiberglassrv page:
http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...-wi-77468.html.
These two sites should have enough information to get you started. Please don't hesitate to write back if I have overlooked something, or not expressed myself clearly. Suggestions to improve the site are always welcome. Hope you can join us. Kathy
