Egg owners and potential egg owners are cordially invited to a NORTHEAST GATHERING
at Schodack Island NYSP-situated on the lovely Hudson River(13 mi south of Albany). Check out campground details (elec,boating, kayaking, bike &walking trails etc) on:

We are reserving on Creekside Loop sites #27-43(all have elec). Presently reserved are sites #42 Sandi G, #29 Mike&Ann, #35 John.

How does one make reservations? At the state site?
This would be our first gathering with our new to us 1997 Scamp 16. Sort of a maiden voyage.

Is there anything we should know (like bring something to a potluck dinner or contributions to a group activity etc.?)

Hi Helena, You can reserve at. reserveamerica.com just put in Schodack Island State Park in the search box and it will take you there. You do need to set up an account.
Please excuse me I am also new at this and learning every step. If you do have a problem, myself or another kind person will help.

Schodack Island SP is about a half hour from us. Just two days ago, Saturday, we drove over to look at it. Not that impressed with it. The electric sites don't have water hookups, lots of mostly weeds between sites. Nice bathrooms, boat launch, and picnic area along the river. The river is not visible from the campsites. We have a vintage rally in Vermont that weekend, but if some people will be staying a couple days after the weekend we may book a site for Sunday and Monday

Hi Mary and Bob, As of now Sandi on site #42 will arrive Fri 9/23 and leave on Tues 9/27 AM, Mike and Ann on site#29 will arrive on Sat 9/24 and leave on Tues 9/27 AM,
John on site #35 will arrive on Sat 9/24 and leave on Mon 9/26 AM.

We booked site 27 for Sunday and Monday nights. Will probably arrive late afternoon as we will be coming home from the Vermont vintage rally Sunday. Will stop home to switch trailers as the teardrop will be going to Vermont. Now which fiberglass trailer do we bring to Schodack ??

Hi Chris, Welcome to the world of "egg camping". I am glad this was your first post and glad it was to confirm your reservation for the Northeast Gathering. Plans on what we do can be firmed up in a couple of weeks. Any ideas would be appreciated, just post on the thread.

What area of CT are you in? Figure out which day will have the most participants and try to come on that day. We won't arrive until mid to late Sunday afternoon.

Come and you can drool as much as you want but I assure you we will be nice and dry inside. We were at Moreau Lake State Park- NY this past Monday night and got poured on for many hours but remained warm and dry.
