Saturday night of Spring NOG, as a group, we decide where to go the following spring. The majority wanted to camp at Beverly Beach on the Oregon coast.

This NOG and going forward, I'm going to see about renting a meeting Yurt or hall. There's a nice one at Beverly Beach (Blue square). So, make your site reservation where you wish in the park. No need to be reasonably close by to my site for the group events. There's a good size parking lot adjacent to the meeting Yurt, so you'll be able to drive and park when joining for the group events. Everyone agreed to help financially support the meeting Yurt rental. It should run about $5-$10 per site total for both nights. I'll let everyone know when we get much, much closer to the Spring NOG. It's going to be really nice to not worry about the weather... no more EZ-ups or folding tables!

So... make your reservations. It's time! Check out the campsite photos here: Beverly Beach State Park Campground - Photos, Information, and Reviews

Everything available at the park... Beverly Beach State Park and reserve online:
Beverly Beach State Park - Oregon State Parks and Recreation

Campground site brochure: http://oregonstateparks.org/index.cf...s%29103338.pdf

As usual, I'll keep the top post on the Casita Forum updated with a participants list and site map. 2017, Spring NOG - Northern Oregon Gathering - Apr. 27-30 - Casita Travel Trailer Forum

Feel free to post your information here on FiberglassRV, the CasitaForum, the EscapeForum or on the Oregon Gatherings Facebook page.

Ready. Set. Go!

Donna, how intrusive is the sound from Highway 101 in B14 and the other spaces nearby?

Bill, I didn't notice it at all, but then again maybe I wasn't paying attention. Beverly Beach State Park is quite a few feet below the level of Highway 101. The sites close to me have somewhat of a view through the highway overpass and can see the ocean and waves. Okay, so maybe you won't be able to sit in your trailer and see it, but walk to that end of the loop and WOW, there it is!

I've stayed there frequently and didn't notice the noise. The loop closest to the road used to have more trailer spaces 20 years ago, before they were remodeled for yurts. I doubt you'd hear anything at all in the other loops as the trees are plentiful and block sound.

Donna and Charlie, thanks for the info! Sounds good! No pun intended, of course.

I am becoming familiar with online camping reservations as this is the second since I got Jessica Fletcher a couple weeks ago. I am looking forward to this trip.

Marjy, if you made reservations, I need names of the adults attending, your site number, domicile and year/length/brand of your trailer. I put these on the participants list and map. You may meet neighbors! You can send the information to me via PM if you wish.

Donna, I sent you a PM, but thought I'd post this, too.
Bill & Pam will be in D2, checking in on Thursday, April 27, in a 2016 17.5' Bigfoot trailer.

Just confirming the date - April 27-30? This feels like a week later than usual? Which is fine by me, just want to make sure I plan the right dates.

Booked!

Okay - assuming I have the dates correct, I am coming and since I left it so late, am away from the action in G37! If anyone cancels closer to the yurt, let me know - I would love to make a switch.

Hey Suvi! We're all over the map in the campground. You'll be the fourth all-molded towable in G loop!

I'll update the participants list and map over the coming weekend.

That was a good little winter snowfall, wasn't it? Our older pug wore her little striped coat for days so she'd go outside without shivering.

Maureen and I will have to cancel our reservation. We are in the process of moving into a new home around that same time. Hopefully we will see everyone in the fall if something opens up. Safe travels and hope for sunny weather!
