"2018 Rally Schedule". Wednesday evening 7 pm. We will host an early bird gathering at site 81 for anyone who would like to join us. Thursday 6pm. The official meet and greet! Rhonda & I will provide a pot of soup (TBD) for all to enjoy; desserts and side dishes are always welcomed. Friday 6pm. We will gather for a cook out around the fire pit. Bring your hot dogs, sausages, hamburgers or food of your choice and enjoy a great time of fellowship. We just returned from five days at Smokemont (NPS campground about three miles from Cherokee). Trees were just beginning to turn so the timing could be pretty good for you folks. Lots of Elk out in the meadows by the nearby Visitor Center in late afternoon. Turkeys everywhere. Cades Cove was crowded but well worth the visit. Cherohala Skyway starting near Robbinsville NC to Tellico Plains TN is a nice drive; take the short spur off the Skyway to Bald River Falls in Cherokee NF. Cataloochee also had lots of Elk (and people). Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest has a great two hour hike to 'the big trees'. Tail of the Dragon for you motorcycle people. Nantahala Outdoor Center for great rafting trips. Great Smokey Mountain Railroad out of Bryson City. The Masonic marker off the Blue Ridge Parkway is a neat stop for anyone interested in Freemason history.

Have fun.
