Missed out?

Hi Steve
In addition I had oversight for 4 municipal golf courses and offers from our pros for free lessons. Never golfed a single hole in my life. Oversight for 6 municipal swimming pools, never got wet except when I fell in a few times. 50 soccer fields and 32 ball diamonds, never used any of them. I spent my recreational time in the woods and fields, on the streams and lakes, and camping all over the United States with my family and friends. I did think disc golf was great because it appealed to a segment of the population ( young people who are sometimes difficult to attract) and was free, good exercise and relatively inexpensive to get into as you pointed out.
I have a few disc golf stories obviously. Glad you enjoy the game.

An Awesome Rally with Awesome Hosts!

King of the Wild Frontier is not to be missed...

I've had other October events on my plate since late last year, and hate to be missing this event. We can only be in one place at one time, and it tears me to have to make that choice of missing this year's rally.

Bring your raccoon tail hat, above-ground portable fire pit and a happy sense of pioneering adventure. The park is above awesome and the hosts are stellar. This group knows how to rally and embodies the egg community.

Go for a tractor ride and enjoy the airshow!

Miss y'all. Sing and kick a Karaoke song for me.

So sorry that you cannot make it this year. We hope to see you down the road. Happy Trails.

If anyone is going to cancel my family would love to take your spot. I'm trying to check the campground website throughout the day just incase on pops open. Thank you.

I did that today but they don't have a next in line list. I was able to get one site for Wednesday night and a different one for Thursday night. I'll keep watching for a weekend opening. PS: I'm an injured discgolf player PDGA #13727

Our heart-felt thanks go out to Denise (gammy2joe); and Tina & Stephanie in the park store. We were able to get their site late Friday evening, so will be arriving with our 1978 Trillium 1300 on Wed., 17th. I've got a coonskin cap in the shopping cart at SportmansGuide.com. What do y'all think? Should I have one with me? Gotta get back to finishing belly-band re-do. See you in a couple weeks.

***IMPORTANT REMINDER****

This is an important reminder to make sure that everyone attending the King of the Wild Frontier fiberglass egg rally goes to the right campground. There are 3 David Crockett campgrounds in Tennessee. The rally is at David Crockett Birthplace state park in eastern Tennessee. Please don't make the same mistake that I made a couple of years ago. The campground in western Tennessee is over 300 miles away and will make for a long travel day if you go there first.

Thanks for organizing this. Was a fun event, despite the Saturday rain. The parade of vintage tractors was a first for us!

Davy Crockett Rally Thanks

Larry,
Our sincere thanks for allowing us to participate in the David Crockett Birthplace State Park rally. These were the very first nights ever in a camper, and attending a rally. The welcome and technical help received were special to us. Just great folks 😀. Many, many thanks!

This was my first ever Rally. I’ll admit I was embarrassed pulling my new to me little old Burro into the campground, as it needs a lot of work. I met so many great and helpful people this past weekend!

The Camper Maintenance Q&A was so informative, and I truly learned a lot. I learned things about tires I could never have known had I not attended this Q&A! In fact, I learned so much about my camper I was actually scared to pull the little beast back home! Thankfully, I got expert advice from expert campers’ to help settle my nerves… Thank You!

In the future I plan on using solar, and I sure got some excellent advice and information at the Solar Discussion! As a beginner I’m quickly overwhelmed with so much to pick and choose from out there. But what I learned at this discussion certainly put me in the right direction. I now know where I want to start and what I want to begin with… Again, Thank You!

Also, I especially want to thank Doreen! Due to very recent events, on three different occasions I’d decided not to attend this rally, even willingly forfeiting my paid campsite. She knew this was what I needed, and would also enjoy, and she encouraged me all the way… THANK YOU, Doreen!!! I had a great time!

While I’ve yet to register for next year’s Rally, I do plan on being there. By then I hope to become better acquainted with those of you I met, as well as meet even more along the way. Some of you gave me your cards; some gave me email info for future contact. I know I’ll miss a lot of what goes on, but please accept my apologies for not being a Facebook fan. I use Yahoo for my email (I’m sure you’ll figure it out), and I look forward to hearing from you!

Thank you to the host; the camaraderie of this group has really made an impression on me!

And, Thank you for welcoming me to my first Rally!

Was cool to see a couple of Burros and the Trillium. Wish there had been more vintage!
