Hi: Kimmyb... 2 & 1/2 days for you... 2 & 1/2 hours for me. The campground is 15 min. from the Buffalo N.Y./ Ft. Erie On. border crossing and right across the Niagara river from New York. There will be others there from Florida so hope you can make it up.

Hi: Ken Max... You'll be most welcome to visit... and more than welcome to camp as well. We do love NY. St. Pk's and camp at Lakeside Beach St. Pk. a lot. Gotta love Lake Ontario south shore.
p.s. The best views of the Falls are from the Canadian side.

Report from The Riverside!!!

Hi: All... Time is running out. So far we have 30+ registered trailers for the 2018 Niagara Wine Escape. Looking forward to seeing every one this year. We stayed over night last night as we took an advanced wine run to test the new vintages. 2017 was a very good year of the grape.
BTW the water is still overflowing!!!

Booked our site and will be arriving on Fri and departing on Monday with our '89 Bigfoot 17 Gaucho. Finally got some overhead cupboards installed. Hopefully, I'll have the cabinet doors finished before the trip !

Hi Alf
Good to hear that the river still has water in it. We are planning to arrive late Wednesday and stay till after the brunch. I might even go look at the Falls this year if I can fit it in my busy schedule. What were your favorite flavors on you tasting tour? Did you order the good weather yet?

Hi: Lora... Sure hope you'll get some time out doors while in Niagara. There's so much to do there. The Riverside is a peaceful park.

The Falls

Hi Jack
Good to hear you’ll be reinforcing the Iowa contingent. Beautiful flowers, friendly wineries, great bicycling if you’re so inclined. And the falls at night are pretty spectacular. We will arrive on Wednesday be looking for the iowa Scamp rolling in.

Hi: Iowa Dave... During our mid week visit we noticed it was "Standing room" only near the Falls. Bring your own parking space too. Hope things settle down a bit in September. There's always parking at the "Wego" bus loop. WEGO Niagara Falls - The Ride to Fun, Visitor Transportation System

Traffic jam

A couple years ago my wife, daughter and son in law wanted to see the Falls at night when it’s lit up. I did not care so much so I took them up to the Falls and dropped them off as traffic was at a crawl. There are signs saying no stopping or standing and there are officials attempting to keep traffic moving. I innocently drove into a gridlock and the officers were quite a while untangling the holdup while I sat with the car off just waiting and looking at the Falls. Finally made my way up into the crowded street scene above the Falls. Took about 35 minutes to make the loop at which time I picked them up and spent my $20 on Dairy Queen’s instead of parking. Course I wasn’t in the photos but they didn’t want to see me anyway.

That's where we spend most of our time when camping. Looking forward to seeing that part of the country.

I'll be joining you this year at site 17. It will be good to see my travelling buddy Walt P and meet new folks. I'm going for the 'longest traveled to the event' prize.

Rally Tarp

Hello to all Niagara Falls Wine Escapers,
This year we will be putting out a free tarp on Saturday morning while the trailer tours are going on. If you have surplus trailer or camping equipment you no longer need or want, put it on the tarp and while you’re there take a good look around there’s probably something there you can’t live without. It’s all free, the tarp will be there the better part of the day. It will be at the corner of Organizer Avenue ( site 52) and Harry Potter Tree Drive. Fun for all, Don’t be a Hoarder, get rid of it across the Border. Where Alf is the Sheriff and there ain’t no tariff.

Rally Tarp.
If I had a way to get it to you, I would put my 40' X 60' heavy duty tarp on your tarp. Haven't needed it since I got the trailer.
