Hello Jim, glad you were able to get a site, and now if you show up you are a part of the gathering. There are no fees associated with the rally, except for the cave tour if you choose to go. We are looking forward to meeting you, as you travel through.

We don’t have a trailer yet but we look forward to meeting you all and learning from your experience. We are still a couple of years from purchasing and are looking at the 16-18 ft size range. We will be tenting in site B27.

According to the National Park Service’s Green River Ferry Improvement Projects web page , the ferry will be closed down from June 17 thru November 19. However the same web page has an alert that the ferry is closed due to low water but that operations will resume once water levels return to normal. That page was last updated on May 15.

So, we’ll have to “stand by” and check via phone Friday/Saturday to get the latest status.

Looking at google maps, the alternate routes (KY70 & I65) are about the same time-wise to get to the park but the shortest distance is via the ferry (KY1352 complete with ambiance).
