Thanks! I thought it might have been a nickname for the State Park. Either way, the peaches are some of the best ever.

Two sunny sites open for Friday/Saturday (as of right now, anyway) if anyone else wants to join in.

Additional sightseeing

Thanks to Paul and Norma for listing the interesting sites around Maryhill. Thought I would mention a couple more. The tiny town of Bickleton, the self proclaimed "Bluebird capital of the world" is a lovely 49 mile drive from the State Park via the Bickleton Highway out of Goldendale. Their Carousel Museum houses the 1905 carousel from the Oaks Amusement Park in Portland.
There is the Columbia Gorge Discovery Museum west of The Dalles, about 26 miles from the SP.
We've had decent lunches at 2 places in The Dalles, Petite Provence and Clock Tower Ales.
See everyone soon.

New reservation site since the op:

https://washington.goingtocamp.com/c...tandard%20Time)

Alternate sites at Peach Beach RV Park on the Columbia. It's right next door (shortish walk thru the day use area). Some folks camp there every year. https://peachbeachcamping.com/make-reservations/

I have a forum post/e-mail/PM accounting for 15 sites. There are usually 4 or 5 other parties that show up and join the fun Saturday. If you do know of friends/family coming along, please drop me a note so I can sorta plan (fabulous prizes!).

If you have a reservation and need to cancel, please post here to give a heads up for someone who would like to take your spot.

Paul, our son Doug will be joining us in a SOB You mentioned a post showing who’s where. How do I find that? Thanks

What a great time at Maryhill! A gem of a state park and the weather held up for the most part. Paul and Norma were very gracious hosts.

Cute cookies baked by Norma. Very much looking forward to next year!

Yes and THANK YOU to our generous host and hostess Paul and Norma! It was my first time to Maryhill and it was a delight to meet and chat with so many new people! Fiberglassers are the best! I too will be back next year!

I greatly enjoyed myself - my first time at this rally and campground. Never did get totally used to the trains though. LOL - that's what sleeping pills are for.

I also enjoyed meeting fellow fiberglass trailer owners and seeing some of their rigs. I took photos of the rigs (and campground and the Columbia) and will eventually do a blog post on them. I'm still getting used to my camera and haven't quite figured out how to take photos in low light, so I didn't even attempt to take photos of the gatherings around the campfire. I'll post the link here when I get the blog post done.

I hope to be back next year!

PS - is it always the same weekend each year? I don't frequent the forums that much, so want to plan (way) ahead. Thanks

And thanks to Norma and Paul for the event. The prizes were great and unexpected on my part.

What a great time everyone had thanks to Norma and Paul. Each year just keeps getting better and better. Nice to see old friends and meet new ones too. This was year # 10!

Thanks to everyone who joined us at Maryhill in May!
We had a great time too

Laura - we always go the weekend before the Memorial Day long weekend.... so that looks like May 15-17 for 2020. The park doesn't reserve sites prior to May 15, so if you want to come early (like we do), you may not get the site you reserve for the 15th on until Friday
I'll post a reminder when reservations open in August.
