That works for us. We can't bring ice cream but can bring toppings.

Potentially, it looks like we will have about 20 folks, if the friends of the friends show up.

I will bring Ben and Jerry's Vermonty Python because I am a sick old bird and a silly English Kahnigget!

It goes well with chocolate or fudge sauce, marshmallow cream or raspberries too!

OK great.. so, with the few votes we have, and since it's so close..

Plan on preparing a meal for yourself on Saturday and bring to the group area if you wish to participate, no pot luck, but we will do a desert "Pot Luck". Ice Cream, cookies, cakey bits, whatever you think folks would enjoy a nibble of. You don't need to bring for 20 people, since not everyone will try everything. Maybe consider for 5 or so.

Do we have any special needs, diabetic etc that need to be filled?

Robert might give everyone Diabetes. He is bringing hand-made Chocolate Truffles.

Good thing I didn't know about the ice cream part sooner, or I'd be coming. And I unfortunately have far too much to do at home so its good that I'm not coming.

That and the price of gas...

more for me! Yes, I have "gas pains" myself.

And speaking of smoke... I have learned that they are doing prescribed burns very near the area...just over the hill from there.

Do not panic, it is not a "real" fire, it's the forest service doing a much needed forest service job. So, it will be a bit smokey at times, but nothing to worry about.

They are saying they may even set up a public viewing area. Apparently, they are using helicopters to both start and stop the fire in a controlled fashion. Might be interesting to see if they do that. The forest service roads in the area are easily traveled with a passenger car.

It would be interesting to me to see a fire as a "show" instead of in my rear view mirror while I am screaming down the mountain to get away from it.

Gina,
Count on us for a 1/2 doz. bananas and maraschino cherries for 'split ingredients on Sat. evening.
It turns out that we won't be obligated for our Friday appointment. When does Friday check-in begin?
We're looking forward to making new friends and renewing old friendships.

Kurt & Ann K.

Oh yay! We'll need Vanilla and Chocolate and Strawberry Ice creams then..volunteers?

Kurt, anytime is fine. The gate keeper may frown on 6 a.m. however... anytime in the morning thats reasonable works.

Talking

I will bring a pair of "Wheel Weigher" scales.
[quote]I would be able to weigh your trailer:
(1) before you got it unhitched and totally set up, or
(2) as you are hitching up ready to leave.
