Our 6th annual spring fiberglass rally and fish fry will be May 21, 22 & 23. The fish fry will be Saturday the 22nd, just bring a side dish and enjoy great company and fish. This years rally will be at Patoka Lake in southern Indiana. Make your reservations for section D sites 138 thru 155. Reservations can be made at http://www.indiana.reserveworld.com/index.cfm
I highly recommend a longer stay if possible as there are several things to do close by. The French Lick Hotel and Casino if your feeling lucky, also in French Lick is the Railway museum (you can take a 20 mile train ride), Big Splash Indoor Waterpark and French Lick winery. A must see while visiting is the West Baden Springs Hotel (French Lick and West Baden towns run together and are only 12 miles from the campground north on Hwy 145). The West Baden Springs hotel has been fully restored and is a wonder to behold. When it was built around the turn of the 19th century, it was known as the 8th wonder of the world. Don't miss it!
The marina at Patoka Lake has a boat tour of the lake where you can see nesting eagles and other wildlife. Come join us you won't want to miss this one!

As always, a good way to start off the camping season in the chilly north-ish. Site 138.

I bought a deee-lux wire mesh skimmer at Cabelas this fall. I'm thinking of some french fries with the fish!

Whoa! French Lick? French Fries? Mon Dieu! mesdames et messieurs!

Hi All, We will be in site 139 for Friday and Saturday nights. We'll leave Sunday morning to catch up with the Casita Rte 66 tour from Chicago to Los Angeles. Although we'll leave the tour, turning right at Gallup, New Mexico and heading north to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone.
We plan on stretching the legs on the ole Casita.

Our trailer (Escape) will be ready May 10th. We are driving to Chilliwack, BC to pick it up. Not sure what our return schedule will allow, but we would love to stop in to Patoka Lake. We hesitate to reserve space. We'll just wing it, and if it's possible, it will happen. Have fun.

just out of curiosty
where, on Patoka Lake is this rally being held?
we have been on the south side of Patoka Lake where a cousin keeps pontoon boat. but not on the French Lick side.
There is a fairly famous pro basketball couch (first name Jerry, but not being a fan, don't know more.) from French Lick, in sacramento. ( a suburb of Rio L inda)

I've never been there before but I think the campground is on the south side of the lake.

Hi Karen K.

since your the only one kind enought to answer me, i will mention that someone said that it is "only 12 miles from French Lick".
unless i'm totally screwed up ( which is not out of the relm of possibility) French Lick is on the north side of the lake...which puts the ralley site somewhere on the north side of the lake, i think

We just reserved site 151 for Friday night and Saturday night. My wife is having problems with her knee, so I hope we can make it. We are looking forward to seeing other fiberglass folks, since we haven't been able to be at a gathering for a couple years due to work schedules.
