Friday, we are are planning a dutch oven boneless turkey breast with small red potatoes, carrots, and onions, and some type of dutch oven dessert, cobblerish or gooey chocolate cake like thing.

Saturday, sausage gravy and biscuits.

Are you going to make it to the rally next weekend? Hope so! We have 18 sites booked so far.

Thanks

Are you going to be able to come next weekend? Plenty of spots left & we would love to have you!

Food, food, & more food!!!

Please watch these red posts for rally updates. Here are food lists that people have signed up for so far. Please let me know what you are bringing so I can keep revising the list. Won't let me post my Word chart with grids - made me convert to pdf to post & it ate the grids!

Thinking of making either beef vegetable soup or chili. Any preferences?

Also thinking of bringing apple pie.

Sandy, I am just hoping to be there before dark, so you can probably count us out on the friday night potluck dinner. By the time my son gets out of school and we get loaded, I'll be lucky to be on the road by 6:00. I decided to do a few last minute changes to the Burro, so I am changing the curtains and waiting for my new tires to come Fed-ex on wednesday. I will be cutting it close since I already have my old tires removed from the wheels and the camper on jack stands.

NO problem. If you happen to get in early enough, we are having homemade ice cream later in the evening. Drive safely! Anxious to meet you all!

Reminders

REMINDERS:

If you are coming from out of state, it is probably NOT a good idea to bring any firewood unless you check out the Emerald Ash Borer website for details first. It is illegal to transport some types of wood across some state lines. Sadly, EVERY county in OH is now under quarantine & you cannot transport hardwoods out of OH.

Don't forget your lawn chairs.

Time is flying! See you in a few days.

I believe I have also heard of others whose dogs sleep under there...doxies, I believe.

Our dogs are spoiled rotten and sleep up on the top of that back bed with me, as did our large dogs when they were alive. But, I sleep on the back bed and Joe sleeps on the side dining bed - that way we do not have to climb over one another when we sleep; and we both have sleeping disorders that make us move too much to share that small back bed. Small, compared to our king at home.

Currently at Wright-Patterson AFB FamCamp. Leaving 22nd and will be at Caesar Creek later the same day.

Dogs sleep under bed fine. However, if they can "manage" to sneak up on the bed...they do. We through pillows at the bed edge when we are not in it. Otherwise they are great travel partners... just have to keep them on the leash<grin>

Am going to make a couple of different kinds of meatloaf (one beef and Italian sausage, the other beef and regular sausage, might make a 3rd one with just beef and dried onion soup mix) . Am thinking of switching that pie to angel food cake (Amish made).

I sort of figured that cold meat loaf makes great sandwiches and that sounds a whole lot better in warm/hot weather than hot soup!

Glad the sleeping arrangements have worked out great for you.

I didn't know WPAFB had a family camp!

See you Thursday evening.
