2nd annual AB LAST CHANCE (Alberta Omelette)

We have just reserved group site 5 at Miquelon Lake Provincial Park http://gateway.cd.gov.ab.ca/siteinformation.aspx?id=81. It is a powered site with a covered group area, and Flush toilets.

All Bolers, Trillums, and other fiberglass trailers invited, we might even allow 1 airstream.

Please confirm with us not the campground as we have made the reservation, and please bring cash as we have to pay in full at the end of the weekend.

Group camping rates are $28 night with power, and depending on the amount of trailers that show up, we will have to split the extra money needed to cover the group camping site.

We will be having a potluck on the Saturday Night

Please post if you plan on coming so we know who to look for.

Hi Craig & Darla, thanks for putting the Omelette together again this year

We aren't going to be able to make it for the camping but we would love to come by on Saturday to take in the fall scenery at the lake and bring food to join in for the potluck if that's okay? We'll be in Edmonton again anyway so it's not that far out of the way to make the drive out to the lake instead of back home.

Hi Elaine

We would all love to see you. Of course you're welcome at the potluck.

A small break might just be nice for you right now...

xoxo

Hi everybody

We look forward to seeing everybody on the 11th. As I am arranging this meet, the campground has stated that I have to be there at check in time (for site inspections, etc etc). We have group site 5 from 2pm on Friday the 11th until 2pm on Sunday the 13th. If anyone wants to come early or stay late you are welcome to do so, but you'll have to use a regular site.

Don't forget the potluck on Saturday night and bring wood to share in the group fires. (I'm sure firewood will also be available at the store when you enter the campground)

9 MORE SLEEPS!!!!!

7 Sleeps as of today!

Anyone wavering on deciding to go because they are worried about the weather - I just checked the long range forecast for that area and it looks fantastic (better than during summer!). Mid to high 20s on Friday and 30s on Saturday & Sunday!!

We may have to use the cooking shelter to stay cool rather than to stay dry!

WE don't have our Boler functioning but we'd love to come out to see what everyone has done maybe pick up a hint or two. With temps like that, it will be worth getting one more tenting (hopefully the last!!!!) trip in.

We will try to get a tent site as we aren't in need of power yet

Are there any allergies we need to know about with regards to the potluck?

Cheers

Ursula

To Ursula or anyone thinking of not coming because of trailer repair/renovation issues

If you would normally come out using a Boler or other fiberglass trailer, but are using a tent due to repair/renovation issues, we want you to join us at the group site.
If you don't use power, you won't be charged for it.

The idea of these get-togethers is to get to know other fiberglass trailer owners. It wouldn't be fair to you if you're somewhere else in the campground.

As far as I know, there are no allergy alerts

Thank you everyone who came out and made this weekend a great success. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend, the weather was fantastic and the people were even better!!!

Big thanks to Reg, Wray and Victor for the tunes around the campfire on Saturday night, it was enjoyed by all.

We hope everyone had a great time and we will see everyone again next year.

Craig and Darla

We had 11 trailers in total + 1group that forget their trailer and showed up for potluck

6x 13' boler
2x 17' boler
2x 14' trillium
1x northern lite

The group site facilities were excellent and the campground staff were very nice and accommodating. The weather was gorgeous, food at the potluck was incredible, and great tunes played by Reg, Victor, and Wray around the campfire.

Hope you can make it next year, we plan on having this event around the same time next year at the same campground.

Craig
