Annual Newfie Days - Oct 15-17, 2010

Annual Newfie Days are planned for Lunenberg, N.S. October 15, 16, 17.
Open to all Newfoundlanders and want-a-bes. Three days of fun...entertainment...and food.

This is also a chance for late season camping and to enjoy the fall colours and also the fall decor in the valley.

We'll be there with our Escape 17' Fiberglass trailer.

Is there a campground set up? I'm in NB and the in-laws are from Burgeo,,, Smile. ( But I'll be alone...)

There are a couple campgrounds in Lunenberg. Names ?????

There is no organized meet.....though we might start one if there is interest.

Glad to hear there are friends across the sea. I am in Cape Breton outside of Sydney. What do you have planned for the meet. If we can get time off work we might be interested keep me posted.

Newfie Days is an annual event organized by a couple folks in Lunenberg. This is not a fiberglass meet per sa, though it would be a great season ender. Newfie Days is a 3 day event.....Friday evening is an official kick off....Saturday there is a parade and an evening of Newfie entertainment (Yuk Yuks from NL this year I beleive)....Sunday the ending with a pancake breakfast. I've never attended, but I understand it's a lot of fun. We are going to the Valley first to see the fall decor and then to Lunenberg for the weekend. Look for us somewhere in our Escape Trailer (Escapei). See you there.

Is there a certain campground everyone is staying in? We are going to Cabot Trail this weekend and may join you all for the Newfie days. We would like to go where the eggs are laying.

Not sure if you received my previous reply.

This is not a Fiberglass event per sa. Just an opportunity for a final outing for the fall. We will leave home on the 8th and travel to the Valley first and then to Lunenberg on the 14th (with our Escape 17'). The municipal campground is staying open an extra weekend for Newfie Days. We are Newfies, but never attended this event before......sounds like fun.
