Michael,

If you're planning to go to Albuquerque, you'll be travelling I-40 through Flagstaff. Let us know when, maybe we can meet you in Flagstaff for lunch. Tell Lori she doesn't have to serve cinnamon rolls :o

balloon festival

Carol, Jim, Charlie and I are all meeting in Flagstaff on October 2nd.
I believe Carol and Jim will be in Flagstaff on October 1st.
We are staying at Black Bart's campground and going for dinner there October 2nd for anyone in the area.
Is anyone else planning on going????
Next night staying in Grant, New Mexico and then on to the balloon festival.

Michael are you planning on going??

Morgan come and visit us at the campground. Sometimes spur of the moment plans are the best.

Anyone else out there interested????

Balloon Fiesta

Hello Morgan

Like Barbara said, we will be in Flagstaff for two nights - Oct 1 and 2, then Barbara and Charlie will meet us at Black Bart's on the 2nd. We would love to have you come to Black Bart's and have dinner with us. We hear that there is a great restaurant right there at the campground with entertainment. Lunch might work if Barbara and Charlie are at Flagstaff early enough on the 2nd.

Morgan, what do you know about the restaurant at Black Bart's?

If you would like our cell phone, please email me and I will be happy to give it to you. It would help us to get together.

If anyone else is in or around Flagstaff, please join us -:wave

I didn't know the baloon festival was so soon. Lee and I can't make it this week, we don't have wheels. We're using my son's car, but I won't drive it out of town. :weep

Where is Canyon Country (I know the one in Utah)? Where is Mesquite?

Mesquite

Mesquite is about 85 miles north of Las Vegas, straight on I-15. We are 37 miles south of St. George, Utah. It is a hop, skip and a jump with a couple of miles from Flagstaff. You must come and visit. We are planning a campout on New Year's Eve weekend with a party at our house for New Year's Eve. We have four or five coming already.
I will post under rallies.

Mesquite

Wow! you guys live right on the Virgin River. I always wanted to fish there :chased

We don't do New Years since 1960 when we partied at the Chief Illini (ask Charles W).

Thanks for the invite, though!

Canyon Country, California

Hi Morgan

We live in Canyon Country which is in the city of Santa Clarita - County of Los Angeles. We are approximately 55 miles north of the Los Angeles International Airport. Canyon Country is between the San Fernando Valley and the Antelope Valley....

Not a bad drive from Arizona ....

I think I used to live in the Antelope Valley (Palmdale). I just never heard the reference to Canyon Country. I mean I know I used to live in Palmdale - I think it's in Antelope Valley:zz

That's a two day drive from Phoenix. Of course, so is Quartzite ;)

Canyon Country

Hi Morgan

How long ago did you live in Palmdale? We are about a 40 minute drive from there and we have lived in our home fo 30 years. Years ago we were part of Saugus, then a name change, I believe it was the late 70's, made us Canyon Country.

Chief Illini

Morgan>1960 party at Chief Illini

Morgan, that 1960 party at the Chief Illini was something else! After they rebuilt the wing, they put up a little sign commemorating that New Year's Eve.

When Pam was in school, we used to stay there at the Chief Illini, just in hopes of soaking up some of the vibrations from that party!

Barb>>balloon festival

Hope y'all had a good trip and enjoyed the balloons! Must be a sight to see! Show us pictures!
