bbueler's roadtrip

By the way, any other Hunter or extended Family owners that are reading this thread:
I'm leaving Northern Oregon on a roadtrip next week (March 8th 2012) going down South through California and then through Yuma, Quartzite and up to Phoenix. If anyone wants to have an early March Compact II or look-alikes MEET, let me know of a good spot to hold it and we can have one. We spoke about doing this several years ago, and I wasn't able to have a nice long trip, until NOW.
Wouldn't this be FUN? I'm hoping it's warm enough for a nice small RALLY, down SOUTH...because it's sleeting and snowing at sea level, on the Oregon coast, outside my front door, this morning!

Hope to see lots of little EGGIES on my Road-Trip!!

I wish, but my trailer is in Washington. But if you come through Fresno I would love to meet you and see your rig.

Right now I don't have 12V. I could put in an electric fridge and might. It isn't too big a deal as I have only once had to get more ice on a trip and that was when the store only had a single block ice piece and I usually use two. Crushed ice doesn't work as well. I sometimes use frozen bottles instead but that time I didn't, and when I picked up the ice on the way only got one block.

Someone did a neat mod with a cooler that had a slide out shelf, as I recall, but it was one of those five day coolers, not a 12V.

Hi Barb,
My trailer is in storage in Washington, too, as is Bobbies. I'm in San Diego, so if you'll be passing by here, I'd enjoy meeting you and your rig.
Meantime, I hope you are having a good trip!

Question Do empty eggshells count?

I would like to compare notes on your cooler operation as I have one also.
My Compact Jr. is stripped down to the bare eggshell awaiting time for me to resurrect it.

AH, Tortilla Flat. Only Forest Service campground I ever saw that had water & sewer & no electric at all sites. Get a prickly pear ice cone at the restaurant/store.
