Camping Casita at Lake Pleasant

We're off for a long weekend at the lake, but the weather doesn't look promising.

The high temperature forecast for tomorrow is under 80F. Bummer, I guess we'll spend the weekend huddled around our campfire bundled up against the cold :weep

Morgan

:laugh :laugh :laugh :laugh :laugh :laugh :laugh :laugh :laugh

But I'll have the last laugh, when we're camping in the first measurable snowfall! South Dakota got a couple of inches ... so maybe, just maybe ....

Have a great trip! Drive safe! Don't let your boat gobble you up again, ok?

Campfire

Remember, Morgan and Lee use a charcoal chimney starter as their campfire. Now we understand why that's sufficient...:lol2

Here's a picture of it, Mary F:

We stayed warm and toasty even during the cold snap.

As always

As always, it looks pleasant at Lake Pleasant, Morgan!

We're headed up to Illinois Beach State Park, right on Lake Michigan (which looks alot like Lake Pleasant;) )(ok, they're both lakes filled with water!), again this weekend to visit our daughter and son-in-law.

Did you get the campsite with the broken tree again?

That broken tree is about 15' above the water line now; the lake is down to 43% full. We were able to find another tree, though ;)

Lake Michigan is a feral lake. :o Out here we put the lakes where we want them. :E

In South Africa, Lake Pleasant would be called a dam. Dam designates the structure and the impoundment. :zz

Have fun with the kids, we did.
