Sue and I won't be able to make it to Langley - too close to home and wrong dates.

Qualicum Bay Resort is my second home, for business accomodations, our second office is nearby.

Not sure if we will be there. Hans and Christine (the owners) are great people! :)

So - who was there? Did it happen as planned? Where's the trip report for the board?

(We were in the area for 3 or 4 days last weekend - not camping - and saw no one around)

:E :E

We attended the rally at Qualicum Bay. Nice meeting all the 21 others.

You all must have been in the back, near the lake. I never saw you all from the highway. :)

I hope none of you bothered eating at Henry's! :o

Wow! Looks like a nice group of people (and dogs)! Anybody we know? :laugh

Y'all sure have been quiet about your gettin' together... one might think y'all do it all the time, no big deal.

How many rigs? What variety? Who attended, and from where?

Did you have a potluck, domino tournament :jester or just do a lot of visitin'?

:cblob

Mary, there were 22 trailers in all, mostly Bolers with two Trilliums. We had a cribbage tournament and an open house tour of all of the units. After that it was campfire tall tales.

There was an authentic 50's style cafe nearby with old fashioned booths and a juke box selector in each stall. Most ate at least one meal there. The little round stools at the counter were right out of Happy Days. You kinda expected The Fonz to wander in any moment. We stuffed ourselves with delicious burgers while listening to Buddy Holly and Richie Vallens.

There were several trailers from the mainland - and one couple who came all the way from Winnipeg to join us. Pretty neat!

Ray Howard is our coordinator and has done a fine job with the last two annuals. Already he is collecting feedback for next year.

I have suggested we set aside a timeframe to hold a parade of the rigs and park them somewhere where we can do a group shot of all the trailers. Then it would be easy to have them roll out one at a time and stop for a brief shot of the owners posed before their outfit. Once they scatter to their individual campsites the impact of a rally is lost. Other suggestions are pouring in.

Next Ralley

2971.1

The nice weather has sure stirred up extra people wanting to register for the 2003 Prairie Bolerama.
We still have space left for you at the 2003 Prairie Bolerama, July 25-27, 2003 in Cypress Hills, Saskatchewan. It is along the Number One (TransCanada) Highway, so it is not hard to find.

Trailers will be arriving from Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.

Come one and all to the Prairie Bolerama! If you need more information, log onto my website.

We ask that you pre-register beforehand so we know how many will be attending, and can plan for that amount. Please note that all of the electrical sites were gone last August.

Thanks, Ken. My suggestion: get so many molded fiberglass travel trailers that you fill the whole park! (Or move it to a smaller campground, so that you pretty much fill the whole park...)

Cribbage and the Fonz, eh?
