Probably closer to you Jason. Glimmerglass was about 2 hours for us. We liked it, went to the Farmers Museum in Cooperstown one day. Hadn't been there since a school trip over 50 years ago. All I remember from that trip was the Cardiff Giant. The Mansion tour at Glimmerglass was interesting. Didn't get to Baseball Hall of Fame but found a great bakery a couple blocks down.

I like Watkins Glen,NY KOA also. Lots to see and do there in Watkins. The State Park there is also very nice, the Mohawk Loop has electric.

Glimmerglass is only an hour and a half or so from us, completely doable. We've never been there.

We are a little over an hour from Cooperstown, and love it there. That would work for us. We could kayak Otsego lake.

The KOA in Canandaigua was very nice, but very crowded. They were totally full and the sites are quite close together. We'd camp there again, but not in high season. The staff were wonderful, it was immaculately clean and they serve a pancake breakfast on the weekends that is delish! There's lots to do there, and Canandaigua Lake is great for kayaking even with motor crafts. It quite shallow far out and the boaters are very respectful.

Mary & Bob,
I will check with the wife when she gets home and let you know. It will depend on her work scheduled. I don't dare go camping two weekends in a row without her.....LOL

Sorry, but the Glimmerglass dates don't work for us. A shame since it's practically in our backyard. We'll catch up with you sooner or later.

Brian, thanks for the reply, busy time of year for everyone, we may end up going during the week for a few nights, a lot less crowded.
