Thumbs up

I'll see if we get more response and then call the campground and see what's available for a weekend in October and post the site numbers to reserve and date, would love to see your egg, we will keep it simple for the weekend.

We weren't happy with the staff there, but we'd consider joining a group if that's where you want to meet.

Open for suggestions of somewhere else, we went to glimmer glass state park in July and liked it, it's out near Cooperstown.

I really enjoy Burnt Cabins Grist Mill in the fall, they are a Passport and Good Sam CG and the little deli there sells killer sandwiches, I always take just some dog food for the dogs and eat breakfast lunch and dinner from the deli. They also do a nice Halloween festival every year. Oh, the grist mill does operate and you can take a tour and they sell all kinds of pancake and flour mixes, pumpkin, apple and buttermilk to name a few, their pancake mixes have won several awards. We'll be at BC, Jim, as that's the local default. I love NY, particularly the Finger Lakes and the Canal. The great thing about NY is that everything west of the Hudson is outside the megapolitan corridor to the east. Cooperstown appeals as does Watkins Glen. All good. Anyone interested in anything on the NY/PA line again? Or is that too ho hum. We're never going to make it to Williamsport at the right time for the elk rut anyway. Shucks! How about northwestern MD? I love the Catoctin Mtns. around Thurmont.

We'd be up for Copake in October. Glimmerglass is nice but I don't believe they have any electric sites.

maybe

We might be able to make it, depending on dates. Copake is pretty accessible to much of New England. We thought KOA was pretty good. The group gathering sites were fine, though perhaps different from what was agreed upon before arrival.

We love the KOA in Watkins Glen. We will be camping in Canandaigua this coming weekend, so we can let you know how that cg is. We'd be happy to join the group pretty much anywhere, depending on the weekend.

We have another commitment the last weekend in October, but are open for other weekends. We have camped a number of summers at Keuka Lake State Campground and love it. Just sayin...

We were at Glimmerglass last month. All the sites in the two circles had electric only, water was at spigots in various locations, no sewer hookups. We were thinking early October. We know some of last year's Copake attendees traveled some distance so may not do it again. Just an idea for a fall rally if there is interest. Of course Copake was perfect for us as it was half hour from home! LOL
