I'll bet

Way to go Phil!

I'll bet you got GREAT gas mileage!

I know I can always count on you as a dedicated winter camper! There is absolutely no reason to put these things away during the winter!

And, as Phil has now photographically proven, there's no reason to even leave home to have a great campout!

>>no idea of what 5 F means

Michael, don't make me come out there and smack you up aside the head!

Don't think I have any qualms about fighting with someone in their 60s! :)

It's 3 degrees F (-17 C) here this morning, with wind chills way below that.

Makes me want to go camping!

Whaa!! That looks like so much fun! Our trailer is still un such a state that we can't sleep in there yet. Thanks for the chance to go winter-camping vicariously!

we'd go camping, but...

.... with about 3 feet of snow on the ground and drifts higher than that, the Casita is tucked in until snowmelt. Which, this year, may be May at the rate things are going.

However, having said that, the snow is starting to look a little 'used' since it hasn't snowed more than an inch or two at a time for the last week or so. We're ready for a new storm.

Phil, the campout looks great! We love staying in the Casita in the back yard - makes even a work night feel like vacation.

Snowshoeing has been fun, and folks are out on snowmobiles day and night. (THey look like fun too).

Our local ski area (Berkshire East) is having a great season.

It's an indoor/outdoor, not an F/C. It was 5 degrees (F) outside and 72 degrees (F) inside.

Brrr. Makes me shiver to think on it. We had 3 degrees here, back in 1989. Killed all of our grass. Took four years for the lawn to recover.

Great camping weather! Especially if you like snuggling up inside your molded fiberglass travel trailer!

Thanks for the report AND the pics, Phil.

pugilists

>>where did pugilists come from

Pippa ... I belong to a group that stages "Smilie" fights every Friday night.

We have regional, national and even international "Smilie" fight contests each year also.

Ok, ok, I don't really stage little smilie guy fights. I found a website ... in Germany ... that deals only in little smilie guys. Since they are always adding little Smilie guys, I check there every so often.

http://www.smilies-world.de/Smileys.htm

On the site, they also discipline little Smilies that misbehave ..
