Who says you have to leave?

I wanted to go to Roan Mtn this weekend, but the snowstorm has precluded that option. With a low of 3 expected tomorrow night, I'll be carport camping to R&D the heater project- if it can hack that then it passes....it's warmer in the trailer than the drafty apartment anyway. This won't be the first time, I'll pull a carporter now and again when the neighbors are noisy, I have company or I just want to. With power, cable and a freezer block in the fridge, I plan on sleeping in, catching a movie and some french toast and a hot mug of coffee under the 'awning' in the morning....bracing!!!

wake up call

The ambient temp recovered a bit by the time I got up. I can live with this performance easily.

coffee on the veranda

Howdy to all fellow glassophiles! Single digit camping is great, no doubt better if you have company. I listened to the stereo and watched 'The Hunt for Red October' for the umpteenth time but was cozy and quite content. Guess where I'm staying tonite!

go camping!:wave

Thanks for a wonderful, mid-journey report! Sounds like you found the perfect camping spot and I hear your tow vehicle got great gas mileage!

Ah, Phil? You gonna eat both those pieces of French Toast?
