Al' these sites are big enough and our trailers small enough they said we can double up so that makes 88 and cozy

At the Florida March (X Rock Crusher) get together last year there were bigfeet and scamps, previous year bigfeet and boler. We'll be back again this year if I can get off the witches brew injections in time!!

And as Al said, there's always Emily, on the North side of Lake Ontario first week in July every year. Kathy & Doug, Des & Di, Alistair & Inge, Al & Mac don't know anything about this secret!!!

Howdy Charlie...good to hear from you Hope you are able to "fly south" this winter.
Nice pix! I think I recognize the little avocado flag be-decked number It will be headin'south mid January again. Old Mill Stream Rally looks like a go for Inge and me. Still don't have a contact person to register with ( or do we just show up? ). Anyway-good hearing from you and hope you can get off that "brew" in time for the rally. We'll keep the good thoughts for ya'...Alistair

We might just pull this off. I am near Lynchburg Va and can scout some of the campgrounds. What do people need for a rally. I gather we need sites with eletric and water hook-ups. Should there be sewer hook-ups or will dump stations be enough? The camp gound should allow dogs, What else should be looked for? How many sites do you think we will need?
Hi! I'd be interested in hearing more about what you come up with. It's about time an East coast Rally was organized!
I'm not too far away from Lynchburg, and I've heard of a couple nice campgrounds in Virginia. There is one in/near Luray, Va that is supposed to be great.
As far as I understand it, all that is needed is a place and a date. (Elec/water of course, and some folks like shower facilities in case their FGRV doesn't)
Count me in, hope I can work it into my schedule whenever you set a date!

A gathering in that area would be nice in May. Remember that the third weekend of May is Appalachian Trail Days in Damascus which fills up that entire area. Some Virginia State parks will not allow pets but not sure about Grayson Highlands policy.

For any that are itching to get away remember a Mrytle Beach Rally is happening February 16-17 with Monday being a holiday.

Let's get this thing going. There are great parks all up and down the I-81 corridor in Virginia. Are you listening Al V? He can chime in with his favorite.

There are also many nice parks here in eastern Tennessee that we can check out.

We would not be available the last weekend in April or the first week in May (business) but would be interested any other time.

Kathy

I'd be interested and am available the second or third weekend in May (12th and 19th).
Lets do this! Sounds like fun and I'd love to meet some fellow FGRVrs in person!
Anyone want me to check out the Luray site?

Which Luray campground are you thinking about?

Once we set a date I will have a dead line to get the burro ready.

I heard of a place called “The Country Waye Campground” .
It is an area in a big valley with farm land and mountains surrounding.
I belive in May sometime in the town of Luray there will be a Spring
Festival "with all sorts of arts and crafts, music, and
at least 7 wineries representing the Virginia Wine
Country."
“The Country Waye” 3402 Kimball Rd. at (1.888.765.7222)
I have never been there myself, read about it on a website "RVWomen"

THis goes for me too, I've got to get the flooring, wiring, etc finished on the MKP!
