Franconia Notch N.H. in October???

Just want to give a big invite out to anyone who would like to join us for camping up in N.H. We will arrive on Oct. 10th and stay till the 14th. We will be staying a twin mountain KOA campground. It should really be nice up there come that time of year. Hopefully we will hit peak leaf peeping season.

Anyway, if anyone would like to join us please post here or drop us an e-mail!

18:03?

Steven, did you notice that you posted this at 18:03 today - which is 6:03, which is the area code for New Hampshire?

Wild and wonderful!

Just bringing this to the top.

We hope we will be able to meet some of you soon at this informal mini rally. Weather is looking really good and it should turn into a great time.

Hope you all can make it!

Heading out tomorrow!!!

Can't wait to head out tomorrow. Looking forward to going up north. I hope Steve Brown and us have more fiberglass trailer folk to talk to up there but if not I'm sure we will have a good time anyway!

Wish you all could make it!

I'll post a pic or 2 when we return!

Make sure you two take the hike down into the notch! I've heard it's a beautiful place! Take pictures and post them.

Drive carefully!

Franconia Notch update with photos!!!

Well we made it back and had a great time. It was us and Steven and Peg Brown with their dog Mishka (sp?) who made it. I will have to say that 17 Spirit is a nice Casita! Although there were only the 2 Casitas there we had a great time. We all even saw a moose next to Rt. 302!!! I donít have the photo back from that but I should get my disposable camera shot back in the next couple days and will post a photo.

We all had a small pot luck dinner on Sat night and on Sun. morning we met up for pancake breakfast. All in all I think we had a great time with good leaf peeping too. The weather could have been a tad bit better but we made the best of what we had. This morning when we woke up it was 28 degrees out but warm and comfy in our Casita. Me, Julie and Michael made it to the top of Mt. Washington in our Toyota but it was pretty cloudy up there and we got a good look at the old man of the mountain too. Here are a few photos from our little adventure.

Michael has really grown since that first photo of him and Julie you posted on CC.

Was it windy on Mt Washington?

Mt. Washington NH

Yea, there was a lot more wind on top then at the bottom and quite a bit colder. They had .20 inches of snow the night before and there was a little still left over and when we left today at the tops of the mountains there was either a snow cover or a good ice cover. The workers at the top of Mt. Washington were saying they would be lucky if they were to keep optn till Monday and I bet you anything they were not letting anyone go to the top this morning. Boy that drive to the top has some pretty scary parts to it too. Just look at Julie holding Michael in that one photo how she is leaning AWAY from the side of the road. She was pretty nervous near the edge of the road and she didn't have to drive it either.:wave

will do

Thanks Morgan, Michael really has gotten bigger and he has become quite the camper. He has already gone camping like 5 times now in the Casita and if I remember correctly he was like 8 weeks old on his first Casita Campout!!!

Michael, I will edit the photos and say what they are!

Charles

Nope we never got a chance to do much hiking but I do believe Steve and Peg did some. I hope the photo with the moose comes out. It was the first time any of Julie, Michael or myself saw one. We were really psyched that Steve and Peg also saw the same moose!
