Hey, I've camped in North Platte, NE

(NE=Nebraska for all of you who mistakeningly think NE is Northeast)

Right on 1-80.

A Holiday Trav-L-Park.

Nice place. Great swimming pool.

We sometimes hit it to clean up, rest up when we come down out of the mountains.

(We usually stay in national forests, national parks, state and provincial parks, army corps of engineers ... and use full service to regroup after weeks of dry camping.)

well I used two methods. pencil across from point to point.
then I used Map trip-er. and that's where they crossed. no I didn't use actual miles or figure in the height of the mountain. my map was flat. :)

No

No .. we're about 700 miles (1120 km) from North Platte, NE.

Just got a kick outta the fact Jana said it was the epicenter.

Y'all should stick with Salt Lake City.

There is nothing in North Platte ... for that matter, there is nothing between North Platte, NE and where I live except flat land and corn.

To get close to "Central", draw a line from Houlton, MA to San Diego, CA, and from Seattle, WA to Miami, FL. That should get you pretty close to the center, and would include people on both coast, Mexico and Canada. :L
turns out [b]this spot is North Platte, Nebraska.[/quote]

correction. actual milage middle is
Houlton, MA to San Diego, CA = Avoca, Iowa, NE SR-83 and I-80 1659 miles, half of 3319
Seattle, WA to Miami, FL = Lincoln, NE US-77 and I-80 1665 miles, half of 3330

these two places are 98.8 miles apart. :)

Thanks for feed back. This is just an idea at this point in time. The organization and someone from that area Utah would be needed to do a lot of leg work.
Up here by that time a passport would be required and as Pippa pointed out Medical coverage.:wave
