Cool Happy Birthday to ME! June 8-9-10, 2012

Four years ago Robert and I spent the weekend of my birthday at Oak Grove, in the Cleveland National Forest.

As much as I liked Cibbets Flat Campground, I think I like Oak Grove better. It's much larger than Cibbets Flat, and wasn't crowded then. (I think there might have been 6 or 7 campers in the whole place.)

So this year we return to Oak Grove, and I'm letting you in on my little secret. This will be a Not Organized Gathering, (Southern Division). Being a US Forest Service Campground, there are No Hook-ups. There are several Vault Toilets and at least one large restroom with Sinks and Flush Toilets, but No Hot Showers.

While the excuse for this trip will be the 6th-squared Anniversary of my 21st Birthday, No Gifts Please! I just want your presence.

This is GREAT

I too thank you for the invite! But, I'll already be at a gathering: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ing-49662.html So, while I'm there and you are at Oak Grove ... I'll lift a glass in your honor

Cool I'll be in "Oak Loop"

The best part of the campground is the Oak Loop, with shade trees. My favorite spot is #7.

The restroom with the flush toilets and the sinks (cold water only) is near space 60 in the Ribbonwood Loop.
All other restrooms are Vault Toilets.

The Camp Host usually keeps the Chamise Loop closed because there aren't enough campers to fill the whole campground.

Sorry we have to miss this wonderful reason for a gathering. We had planned on it but the jeep had other ideas. Hope you have a wonderful birthday.

Happy Birthday,
In honour of the occasion, I've emailed you a joke that is suitable to occasion yet unsuitable for posting here.
Sometimes I forget that others just don't appreciate things I think are humourous.
My apologies to those.

It looks like my secret is safe!
81 campsites, 5 of them occupied. No problem getting #7, and I found out that TV reception is better than at home! 39 channels, most from L.A.
We brought our cat, Stormy with us to see if she would tolerate the trip. She talked the whole way up...

Meow... Meow... Meow... Meow... Meow... Meow... Meow... Meow... Meow... Meow... Meow... Meow... Meow... Meow... Meow... Meow... Meow... Meow...

Once there, she settled in just fine, never curious about outside, as content as she finally became when we lived in the Fiber Stream while the house was under the termite tent. She even settled down for the ride home.
