I'm pretty sure the BBQ comes out of the fee's.
Details are here: Ontario Bolerama 2012
If I'm wrong, someone will correct me. It used to be pot luck - it was difficult to facilitate that for a large group and some people started getting worried about getting sick.

Reservation made and looking forward to my first Bolerama. At only 6 hours from home, I am looking forward to the drive across NYS and over the Border.
Anything I should bring/plan?

I've talked to the better half and I was corrected.
She may be wrong about the amount, but she recalls paying something like $5 per person to register and that includes your dinner at the BBQ. Plus the campfires etc.

To put things in financial perspective; Booking as a part of THE MEET one saves at least $10 a night and this is ONLY the diff. between the cheapest serviced site and the going rate. Most will stay for 2 if not 3 nights. That is (at least) $30 in the pocket and spending that on the helping the whole meet happen is no cost. Even spending more will be a small price to pay for the experience whether the burgers will be burned or not
I'm a newb to this sort of gathering but, I'm eager and I just wish that more newbs (= shy people) will join me and all of the the weathered trailerers. C'mon, we can't be the only ones who...

what to bring
For those new to rallies the following are a few suggestions: bring enough cold Canadian beer for the older more experienced, make sure there is comfortable shaded seating for us (reclining if possible). Listen intently to our advice and stories or make it look like you are interested. Offer assistance in setting up or taking down any regulars camping gear, but only if following the owners instructions even if you know they are wrong. Remember Fred and Donna are gods and should be treated as such, when in doubt just say over and over "we are not worthy" . All regular's jokes must be followed by much laughter even though you have heard it before, so have we, but we forget easily. Finally never forget Kite Flying and Curling are divine hobbies. Pace yourself it is a long weekend, rallying starts around ten and except for a 2 hour nap in the afternoon extends well into the we hours of the night at least ten o'clock. Most important bring a smile.

Ahhh Ed. I knew you'd have the correct list! Enjoy bolerama. Are you going to Quebec bolerama in September? If not, we hope to see you at EggFest next May. Yeahhhh it's a go for the US Memorial Day weekend. We just have to settle on the place now. Didn't you know I would do it?
Wish we could make Longbeach. Have a ball everyone.

Is anybody going to be interested in a small jalousie window in OK (needs cleaning) condition? Should I bring it in?
Book swap?

Did we arrange a group site to camp closer to the lake this year?

Hi: Don N...Are you able to join us at Niagara Wine Escape this fall? For Bolerama we're in site 78 or 79 south side of the road beside the "Current Bush".

Let me know if anybody going to Bolerama is interested in our canopy for Trillium Jubilee. We have a nice new one (Xmas present from my folks) so the old canopy is up for grabs for the first person who comes along and looks even vaguely interested.
Also, for folks who have never been before, bringing something for the door prize draw is a good idea - first aid kits, set of plastic tumblers, tiedowns, bottle of trailer polish - something that would be useful to trailering - it's fun when everybody gets something!

I'm going to Bolerama and count me in as interested. Currently, for a canopy, we are using a tarp so an upgrade would be nice to have. Are you booked in for group or serviced site? We are booked on #159

Hey Pat-- are your parents looking to adopt another daughter? Roy and I are currently looking for a canopy for our Trillium and being gifted one sounds like the BEST way to get one
