He has a 600cc (600 I think?) silverwing scooter. It's basically a motorcycle in scooter's clothing. Riding it across the state is no big deal.

I'll be at # 145 I think, don't have it in my email but I think that's what they told me. Not sure we are bringing our egg as it looks right now because we are only staying 1 night. But you never know, I just might bring it anyway. Looking forward to seeing everyone's egg and the new Snoozy too.

Hello all,
For those of you interested in what you will be eating this weekend at the Pocono gathering, here is the list so far:

Salad, dressing, sm. pork roast
Tortellini salad, strawberry salad
Greek salad
Hummus, chips, salsa
Green salad
Chili
Crab balls
Eggs
Brownies
Chicken Pot Pie
Some kind of chicken in a pressure cooker, with rice on the side (obviously
I haven't decided yet)

All sounds so good!!! If anyone needs anything, I am going shopping this morning...

The ice cream sundae social is scheduled at 7 pm (there is bingo @ 8 pm) Saturday. There was a choice of 3 or 7 and I felt too many people will be out and about @ 3 so I opted for the 7 pm slot. I hope this is not an issue with everyone. So with all the good food at the potluck say 5:30 pm, should allow some room for the sundaes. It will be a charge per person in the $3-4 range for the ice cream sundaes, I'm told. See you tomorrow, the weather is cooperating.

Hope you guys have a nice hike.

Our Duluth, MN Eggfest hike up to the top of Ely's Peak had 11 participants.

We challenge you in distance, participants, elevation gain. You will win hands down with the temperature. Must have been 60 here when we did it.

Our distance was only about 2 miles, we were going to do 4.5 miles but the first 2 miles did most all in. Only 3 hardy hikers finished the 4.5 miles planned.

Jim, the 7pm ice cream sounds perfect. And thanks for arranging the good weather!

I am baking my brownies as we speak, and while at Trader Joe's picked up a few 6-packs of soda to share. Or, depending on where you live: pop.

My dad's bringing an apple pie.

I'll GPS our route and see how it goes! The start point is already well up a mountain (escarpment, really - and that will be on the midterm) so we won't have massive elevation gains and drops.

We've got our Scamp packed up (except for the cooler), and we should be able to head out pretty early. Looks like about a five hour drive if we don't make too many stops. Doubtful, though, so I'm going to day six hours.

I am so glad that the weather is cooperating with us. It has finally fallen below 70 degrees here, and we are sitting in front of a fire in out chiminae enjoying a few cocktails.

Can't wait to meet you all in person! Ladies, get you cheek pinchers ready -- for my little boy, not me!

Jen b: thanks for scouting out the campground for us!

Hello all,

The potluck looks great!, Ice cream social will make a nice desert!

We loved our scouting trip there in May despite the rain. I think my wife and I are going to hike the Bushkill falls route though if anyone would like to join us, given we couldn't do much the last time we were there, and that I will be at the Pocono Center in August hiking with 35 kids from the east coast....I am looking for something different. Jen B, thanks so much for scouting all those routes.

We have everything pretty much packed, have about a 2.5-3 hr drive, we will be heading out about 530-6pm, can't get out of my summer camp duties any earlier.

Can't wait to see everyone and their eggs.

Don and Brenda

Well, I'm signing off for the night and for the next 3 days as I'll be camping. When you arrive at the KOA, stop in at my site #132, as I have some name tags and a little "gift" for everyone attending. Introduce yourself and I'll greet you with a smile. See you tomorrow.
