Tim your just too kind
Butt we had a great time walking and talking with nearly all of you and we will be back for the next one!

I will gather the info for the BAL leveling devices we use as well as the frame spray we chatted about and anything else there was interest in.

Oh yea, the shameless plug for : tearjerkers.net
that other group of campers with chapters all over the country, no dues, no real rules, just simple camping fun "It's a camping group, knot a Teardrop club".

Additional info / Speaking to:

1.) Frame corrosion proofing (DYI) about 8 large cans will throughly protect a 17' Casita frame.
CRC (1-800-272-8963 C/S) product # 06026>Heavy Duty Corrosion Inhibitor/Marine.
Available @ West Marine or "Google" CRC HD Corrosion Inhibitor.
Sprays (can) on, old clothes, eye protection, plastic HD drop cloth to slide around under the frame and protect driveway or grass.
I sprayed on two heavy coats and a year later its still looking brand new. Raising and lowering the tongue jack allows for product to run down most open frame tubes. Told it can be sprayed over existing rust but I'd sand off the old rust first.

2.) Qwik-Fill battery system allows for remote battery water replenishment. Handy for those pesky Casita battery trays & tight battery slides.

3.) BAL Light Trailer Stabilizing Jacks are whats on our trailer. The slightly more expensive "BAL C system" is nearly the same product, but eliminates any fabrication to mount. Just measure the distance of the main frame rails, drill and bolt. Rock solid and quick.
**Order the optional 4" steel landing pads to facilitate mounting larger jack pads.

4.) JT Products "Elephant foot jack pads" which are 10" composite material pads which bolt onto the BAL mounting plates. Note if you order four foot jack pads the "rubber-like" "Elephant shoes" come "free" with the four pack. Used together your stable on sand, rock, grass, dirt etc.

5.) Mattress: from Walmart.com> Slumber 8" Memory foam mattress; Sized twin thru king (ours/king $240 ships free to local Walmart store/ add sales tax).
After some sixty nights/Outstanding and reasonable. Be careful when opening packaging!

How about merging the two threads together? That way everything stays together. This thread should be moved to the archives in a week or so, after everyone gets a chance to post their pics and comments. YMMV

New one to the old one, so the newest post show up at the end. So yes, newer one with photos to the original. Hope this helps.

Thumbs up Good time and great weather!

A really nice potluck supper and great visiting with Mark and his father and Jean and his bride. Amazed at the Boler 13s which are apparently like the house in the Ray Bradbury story; to wit, bigger on the inside than on the outside! Thanks to Mark and Jerry for the pictorial! Also many McGiverish solutions to common attachment/mounting conundrums which satisfied the seat-of-the-pants engineering yen. I particularly like the Springers' telescoping painter's extension pole as a bumper-mount TV antenna stack. Got to see another Burro (Jen's Sac City), a real "museum quality" U-haul (decals intact, monotongue, surge brakes), and the Burro's surviving relative (Eggcamper). I thought for a bit that the Snoozy designer/builder had got both halves of his shell out of the same mold--a real economy of build--but alas he had not quite managed that feat. I somehow managed to not see the sole Trillium; maybe another time, another place. Kind regards to all. Take care to make sure it goes where it's towed!

We got back to Scotia on Tuesday afternoon, had a great time, saw campers we did not even know existed and met a great bunch of campers. Anytime any of you are coming to upstate NY please send us a note, we know lots of great places and things to do. This weekend is the Hats off To Saratoga event for the start of the racing season. I finally got to use the kayak on Sunday evening on the Delaware River, very clean beautiful place to paddle. We drove about 15 miles north on 209 to check out the Dingmans Campground that has some water and electric sites. The rates are $32 for a 20 amp and $35 for a 50 amp with a 50% discount for seniors like us with a NPS pass. The campground does not have a pool or Wi-Fi, is mostly shaded with bathrooms and showers from the Civil War era. Still wish the Pilot got as little better gas mileage, we did 13.5 on the way home.
