Arrow Jun 14-17, 2012: Eggs at the Fairgrounds, Bemidji

$10 electric, $5 non-electric per night, you get what you pay for.
Cash or check only. We will collect money for fairgrounds.

Beltrami County Fairgrounds.

eggfestbemidji

If you want a highly organized gathering we will see you in Oregon in July.

If not, some of us will be gathering "unstructuredly" this June in Bemidji.

Bring your musical instruments and voices.

Highly Organized Gathering = HOG

Sorry, I just snorted coffee out my nose

I like the unstructured kinda gatherings but will be the first to admit the Oregon Gathering is a blast!

I'm certain y'all will have a bunch of fun at your nonHOG.

See you in July

Jim,

Sorry, but I think you have a conflict on that weekend. We couldn't go with the week earlier.

Donna, love the new term nonHOG. See you in OR.

Oh boy! I'm excited to meet other "Egg" owners! Thanks for organizing this Nancy. It's on my calendar.

I just looked MSRA Back to the 50's Car show is the following weekend, and hopefully the Vintage Drag race at Great Lakes is the weekend before your event.

Hi Nancy, I am trying to get a few of us from Manitoba to come down for your event. I will check back as the time gets closer and check out the info. How many campsites does the Fairgrounds have? I Google maped it and can't get much detail in the sky shot to see.

Hi Rick,

I haven't forgotten about our Canadian friends. I have your email address and as soon as we get our web site going I'll send you the link as well as posting it here.

We really hope some of you can make it. Part of the reason I picked the fairgrounds was with our Northern friends in mind.

The fairground "camping" area is just a big field/parking lot with short stubby weeds. Can't really call it grass.

There are 24 "sites". There are six posts with service to four trailers per post. Each post has water and electricity. There are additional electric outlets scattered around the fairgrounds.

On our web site we will have people sign up for the electric sites. I am concerned about people with health needs getting electricity.

Other than the limitation on the electric sites we can have as many trailers come as we want.

Although this is a HUG (Highly Unorganized Gathering) I do plan to offer suggestions. For example, Fred and I love doing the Bog Walk at Lake Bemidji State Park and will offer car pool rides (park striker required) as an event for anyone who wants to do that easy, lovely walk with us.

Sometime after the New Year Fred will get that web site finished. Then you will be able to see pictures. I'll be sure to send you the information.

If anyone has medical needs for electricity let me know in advance so they can be bumped to the top of the list for an electric site.

I have this event marked down on my "things to do" list. I would love to make it. I don't "need" electric but if it is available I would love to plug in. I am excited to go to one of these egg gatherings with my "Escape Pod".

Tyler,

Welcome. Hope you can make it. Watch for our web site and sign up then if you think you can make it. "Reservations" will not be cast in stone as this is a very informal gathering.

Also, Be sure to watch for the information on the Duluth gathering Sept 19-23.

That one will be more organized and may be closer to you. Hope you can make them both.

At $5-$10 per night the prices are right. And so much public land to explore up there before or afterward. Maybe 2012 is a good year for me to visit the North Shore again, and to see the sights between there and Bemidji.

Hi Mike,

Coming from OK you would probably get the furthest traveled award, or the strangest egg award. You know we will all want a look at your trailer?

Hold on everyone. Our HUG won't really have awards.

Being there with everyone will be reward enough. But maybe you can give everyone a Hershey Kiss or something, just for showing up!
