I liked the site I had last year so I've reserved site 215 for this year. Arriving on Friday, departing on Sunday.

I live nearby. I may come down and wander. I do not have a fiberglass trailer, but have been looking for one. I'm interested in seeing ground clearances.

The hard to spell park is a short drive, over the back roads. Which explains why I'm interested in ground clearance.

Hi Pat. Sure you'd be welcome to come look Unless you're buying new and aren't interested in immediately making modifications, you can always replace an axle to add lift. My Scamp has 15" tires because thats what I did. Casita and Escape also sells the "high lift" option. I don't know if anyone at the gathering has a trailer with that option though. You'll have to come and find out.

Safe travels

That's what I need, I think. We have a good RV guy in our area, and some really good machinists and mechanics.

Hi Pat,
Although the event is posted here on a "fiberglass" forum, our Washington get-together isn't, (nor has it ever been,) a "glass-exclusive" gathering. It is also not a "Washington resident" only event either. Anyone, with anything they camp in, even a tent, is welcome. We are not snobbish or elitist about our gathering. We just like to camp, mingle, socialize, pot-luck, and generally have a good time. You'll find a whole lot of friendly folks who are always willing to show off their trailers and other rv's to interested persons at our gatherings. It is a get-together which anyone who wishes to attend can participate in. You are certainly welcome to join us if you like. It will give you a great opportunity to check out many styles and makes of trailers and rv's and let you see if something in particular catches your fancy. Incidentally, there are several of us, myself included, who have the "high-lift" axle on our trailers. You'll also enjoy seeing all the "mods" many of us have made to our "travelling taj mahals" (lol) and come away with some neat ideas that you will probably want to do yourself down the road. Hope you can make it, even if just for a "day trip".

Sal,
SO GLAD to see your post...my "newest BEST friend" is coming over to play!!! It will be 'Amityville vs. the Bronx'!

See you soon. AND can't wait to meet and talk to Theresa...while I didn't get a chance this past weekend at the beach, I fleetingly saw her at the pot-luck, from a distance, and she looks LOVERLY!

I almost waited too long but I was able to score site #256. A pull through site so no backing in for me this time. I arrive Friday the 8th and leave Sunday the 10th. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

The lake seems to be at a good level--filling up. We drove by there on Monday.
