Hi Thanks for the road info.

My intent is to go from Madera straight down to Avenal (145/269), I've been on that route many times when heading to SLO area. My interest was mainly the section of 33 just above Ojai.

Distance and drive time is rarely an issue with me. I just want to go a route I've never been before and be able to do it pulling my little Marshmallow.

I made reservations in B13 for the 25th through the 29th. Most of the "dry" side of the loop are taken, but those along the water are still available. I may not be able to come for the entire time, but I can change the reservation easily...

Just a note:

Please, if anyone has made reservations and are not listed on the map (my first post on this thread).. please email me or post your name and space number.

The spaces that are pull throughs are: 41, 17, 14, 11, 8, 6 and 3.. I don't know if they are taken by others not with our rally.

On the other side of the lawn area .. spaces left are 53, 54, 56, 58, and 59... I don't know if others have taken these spaces.

There are other spaces still available besides those mentioned above.

So far we have 17 trailers signed up. Thanks everyone.

Greetings,

Tish and I would like to attend and because we've never been to Lake Casitas we'd like to know if any of the sites look over the water. There is availability near where Fred reserved so does anyone know if from that row of sites you can see the lake?

I checked out all the pics of the sites but can't see the water?

Any suggestions for a water view because I'd like to make our reservations today?

The sites close to Fred & Robert are along the shore. I can’t say which ones have the best view. Sorry.

Does anyone have advise on which site would be best in that row where Fred has reserved?

Also does anyone know if we can launch our kayak from the shore in b loop or is there another place where you launch kayaks?

The better water views are from space 21 to space 29. [b]However, some of these do not have hook-ups.

The kayak launch would be from another place. Bass Loop is elevated pretty high up above the water.

Since we didn't have much rain, there probably won't be any view to speak of, the sites on the water side are just an inlet. We kayaked last year, there is a boat ramp to put in from. Lake Casitas does charge a daily fee per kayak, but it is still less then renting and we had a really nice paddle.

As of today, June 29... there are only 10 spaces available for the rally in BASS campground at Lake Casitas.

I phoned Lake Casitas today and the sites are 1, 2, 4, 5, 12, 18, 19, 23, 24.

I'm still wondering if any of our rally folks have reserved sites 43, 53, 56, 59, 60 ..... (Lake Casitas said these sites are taken - I'm hoping by someone in our group)...
