Hi, everyone,

Ken & I checked in to the campground on Tuesday as we wanted to get a few additional camping days in before the rally. The weather is HOT during the day and COLD at night. Those pesky gnat-like flies are in abundance so you might want to bring some OFF or the insect-repellent of your choice to ward off the pests. They are not as bad as the yellowjackets at Bear Valley Springs two summers ago but they do like to buzz around the ears. We are in a spacious spot but may not want to have the group campfire at our location like Carol and I discussed as we have a low-hanging tree directly over our fire pit and I am afraid Bonfire Wes would ignite our campsite. Ken and I are having to keep the fire low so as not to burn the leaves above. Can't wait to see everyone.

Thanks to all the folks that help organize the rally, and social events! We had a wonderful time, and a really good insight to the Casita/Olliver trailers there. Every event was a success! The weiner roast, the ice cream gathering, the wine tasting event, the dutch oven potluck, the after hour movie theater were all filled with fun. Everyone was so gracious, and we made a lot of new friends. Hope to see some of you down the road again.

I weighed 4 rigs at their campsites. I made folks hitch up so they could drive onto the portable wheel weighers, then they unhitched, leveled, and I weighed the tongues directly using a stack of wood blocks on the scale to reach the coupler.
(I apologize to the folks I promised to weigh and didn't. I got so involved with visiting, I just forgot!)

I also got a few pictures of trailers on their campsites.

Karen and I had a great time at the gathering!

The hot dog roast and campfire gots things off to a great start. We enjoyed meeting people, and touring various trailers (as we are considering getting one), as well as the activities including the dutch oven workshop, wine tasting, open house (trailer), potluck, ice cream social, disaster discussion, trailer weighing, swapmeet.

There were so many things going on, I think we missed a couple..

We look forward to the opportunity to meet folks again!

Hi Everyone - this was our first ever Casita rally and we enjoyed it so much. Meeting new people, the weenie roast with music to boot , and the ice cream social was a delicious delight, movies under the stars, what a trip!

Thanks for letting us whirl a few tunes - hope we can join you again next year - or sooner at San Antonio Lake near us.....
Keep on rollin'.......

Gwen & Harvey

Thanks everyone at the rally this weekend the weather, food, and fellowship was great. This was our first rally and looking forward to future ones . The Dutch oven class was awesome. I learned many new tips and ideas from Lori's and everyone involved with the class and planning on trying them out this week. I'll start with the pot roast. I think I'll just use my dutch oven all the time to cook dinner too get that patina look to it. It sounds easy to clean as well. Just at water and scrub off. We all enjoyed the ice cream social especially on that nice warm sunny afternoon. Thanks as well for allowing us to take a peek in fiberglass homes. See you all around sometime.

Here are few pictures I took during the Lake Casitas Rally. Excuse the various shots of interior and exterior shots of some Casitas trailers, which are meant for my own notes. I did capture some of the different fiberglass trailers (non-Casitas), Boler, Fiberstream, Bigfoot.

Unfortunately, I did not have my Compact Jr. ready for camping this event.

Greetings; Having recovered from the after effects of fast-paced wine tasting, we would like to thank the organizers and fellow participants for a wonderful weekend of fun. Please mark us down for next year. Bob and Karen, Space B-05
