Terrible view. I am not sure Mike likes me. He always puts me in this spot

The mustard plants were in full bloom. I suspect that by next week, they will be brown.

<sigh> As usual, looks like we're a little late ..... again

Concetta and I want to add a Big Thank You too! To list every well deserved thank you would ..... just ..... take ...... days. So here's a big shout out for All of You. Thanks so much for making our first egg experience a perfect egg experience. Concetta had a very relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable weekend (always important!) and is looking forward to our next trip. And I? Oh Gawd! Nobody, absolutely nobody, had a better time and got more out of the weekend than I. Thank you all for being so patient with my endless stream of questions. And for not laughing - at least not obviously - at my ignorance. You guys are the best! It was all we could do to get ourselves and our new-to-us trailer to the lake and hope somebody would take us in and show us the ropes. Which you all did! Amazing. For us it was the perfect weekend. We now feel pretty good about taking Valentine out. And I've got a long, long list of honey-do's to turn her into a fiberglass palace. I can't wait to show her off the next time we meet.

We especially want to thank Mike & Lori for bringing all of you together just for us and for hosting a totally wonderful rally. Wow, are all the rallys this good? We're still shaking our heads over the dutch oven cooking. That's gonna be hard to beat. I'm still just a little confused over how fiberglass trailering and mountains of iron fit together but my tummy is happy so who cares? We'll be bringing a dutch oven (or two) next time. ;-)

Next time? We just made our reservations for Lake Casitas Oct 24-25 (Fri & Sat nite) but we're leaving our options open to arrive a day earlier and/or stay a day later. When might some of you be arriving and leaving? If the Lake Casitas Rally is anything like this rally we'll want to extend our weekend. That is the rally everybody was talking about isn't it?

Since we don't actually have a Casitas trailer we were a little hesitant to crash the party. But you guys convinced us our Fiber Casita would be welcome so we picked a spot on the periphery (lakeside site #B-16).

I'll post some of my pics here later.

Thanks to all of you, Concetta & Art

Lindsay, the name of the lake really is "Casitas". All trailers are welcome, not just Casitas.

How was your first dump?

We took 7 Dutch Ovens to San Antonio Lake. We came home with 6. We let our 17 Maca go to Dale & Linda.

Now Im trying to talk Lori into letting 3 more go.

We're home! We arrived home (Salem, OR) last night - we camped near Coalinga on I-5 Monday night; in Weed on Tuesday night. Thank you Mike and Lori for such a great weekend! Oh, my - the food! It's great to now have a face and new friend for each name and trailer (and dog!). We definitely will be back to CA for more campouts. John and Marilyn

OK, I am SURE I am going to forget some, and please forgive me.. chime in with yours if I missed it or couldn't remember their name..or misspell them

There were more dogs here than I have seen at any other rally..

Dogs: (And not necessarily their owners! LOL!)

Buddy the Cocka Poo, Midget the Chewy, Rockie the Yorkie, Gracie the Poxer, Rosemary's Chewy (Her name is cute.. why can't I remember it!), Rusty the Weenie Dog, Minnie the Chewy X and General Manager of the Universe, Kitty the Beagle, Sticky the Beagle, Rex Belgian Shepard, 4 different Corgis.. Jack, Merlin and friends, Jude the Airedale, Scotty the Sheltie, A small wire haired Terrier with floppy ears (She was so cute!) There was a Boxer Puppy (I think thats what it will grow into being) and Jobi the Mix of Fluff.

Not to mention Ted and Priscilla's' 2 cats, Linda's and Dale's Dallas the cat, Carol and Jim's Jerry the cat, and my Wilson the Cat.

It was a real zoo!

Since Gina asked. Our first dump was smooth and easy. We had lots of help. I mean, what are friends for, eh?

Very curious. When I got home and looked at my pics all I have are close-up's of many various trailer modifications and even more pictures of people cooking and eating. Is that all we did?

So here are a few pics:

Rosemary's chewy is Reba. She's 17-18 years old!

I loved seeing a the pets! Thanks to Bobbie for the clicker training lessons and the agility preview...even though we couldn't get Gracie to go through the tunnel!

Wow! What a great experience we had at the rally--our first! Thanks Mike and Lori for putting this all together so flawlessly. We were thrilled to have an opportunity to see the variety of small fiberglass trailers and how each one was an expression of its
owner(s). It was fun to chat with everyone and discover how much we all enjoyed our traveling homes and adventures. We learned quite a lot about preparing food in the dutch oven and sampling the results at the potluck was the best. Ozzie, the other sheltie, learned a thing or two about the clicker (us too) thanks to Bobbie. Glad you were all there!
