I thought it always rained in Washington? Looks like nice weather and good fun.

It does, and in fact, it's raining right now. The long-range forcast for Memorial Day weekend, and beyond, shows a continued rainy pattern over us. We really do live under a cloud! People in Washington don't tan, they rust! lol

Rain

No, that rain business only applies to the West (or is it wet?) side of Washington. Us folks on the other side of the Cascade Curtain don't suffer with those types of problems.

Jim, they just tell people that to keep people from moving there! Rain and all, WA is a beautiful state. Can't wait to take some longer trips so I can visit again! We've seriously considered a move there, but I'd like somewhere warmer, one of these days I'll be too decrepit to cut firewood anymore.

I love it when folks post pictures of gatherings I've attended I took a camera to Maryhill... and didn't take one picture!

It did rain, at night and into the morning Friday. Sun came out at 11am and the wind picked up. That was expected... it's the Gorge! There's a reason for all the wind farms

Paul and Norma, thanks for posting the pictures! I loved looking at them, even though Mike and I couldn't make it out that way this year. It looks like you had a nice gathering, and after looking at the pix, I sure am ready to start camping!! Have a great summer!

Snow Storm!

For those who drove around the Bickleton Area, the Tacoma Tribune today (5/23) had a small article that said yesterday, (5/22) the Columbia River Gorge town of Bickleton had a 10 to 12 inch SNOW STORM overnight in a 5 or 6 mile radius on the 3,000 foot town of Bickleston!!!!

The storm took down the power lines and the school was forced to close for the day!

Have an off topic question for those familiar with the gorge area. Going to dry camp for 4 days at the Gorge amphitheater this summer and wondered where I might be able to fill my water tanks up before arrival (dont want to pull with full tanks all the way over). Anyone know where a gas station that has a water hose might be - will be coming in off the 90.
