Don,
You can break in the tug with a trip here to York if you do not come sooner.

What about some spots in New York? We will have a new Tug by then and can make the trip....learned our current truck does not have a transmission cooler so upgrading in the spring.

Would anyone around the NJ/PA area want to meet up for a campout soon?

Don and Brenda
Don, I have been hiking in the pine barrens a couple of times lately and was thinking how much fun it would be to do a late fall/early winter camp weekend. But alas, the Burro is now in a garage stripped down for its winter makeover.

What beach campground are you guys going to?

How's the first week in July, july 6th and 7th @ KOA Nittany Mt/Williamsport- let's pick a date and then we can post it on the forum under rally's. I'm free (or at least reasonable) any weekend.

Hey Jen,

Me and Brenda have been staying at Long Beach RV resort off of 73, about 15 minutes from Long Beach Island. About a 4 mile bike ride from a great fish market. Nestled in Pitch Pines all around. Nice sites, showers, and restrooms. Even has a pool and wi-fi. It is a bit pricey though. about 30 per night in off peak. But we love it's location to Barnegat Bay and the Edwin B Forsythe Nature Preserve. We have some great quiet kayak Trips close by, and Brenda can "chilax" on the beach. Or we can go to the Barnegat Lighthouse for some great pics. They are closed for the season right now though.

Jim, I hope to be down to your spot sooner than the arrival of my new tug...brenda is pretty excited about your camper.

Most any weekend is good for us as well. The only concrete plans we have are in April and August.

Don, for real, we must get together and do a camping/kayak weekend once my trailer is up and running again. That campground sounds lovely.

Jim, thanks for sussing out the rally campground details again this year! As a PSU grad and a Pennsylvania booster I can say that there's a ton of stuff to do in central PA, and it's a beautiful area.

Looking forward to seeing your new color scheme on your Burro and your father's handiwork.

I just checked with Nittany KOA, here is the link Nittany Mountain Campground KOA | Williamsport, Susquehanna River Valley | Family Friendly Camping
They have an entire row starting with site #121/122 on Turkey Run where we can have electric/water/cable/internet. The regular prices in July/August are $42/nite, if we come June 29,30 we can have them for $35 nite or $7 discount. they have full kitchen with breakfast/lunch/dinner available and ice cream socials are their specialty. They have a lot of children activities as evidenced by their website. Most of the sites are shaded.
So, everyone check their calendars for last weekend in June 29-30 and once I get a couple of responses I'll make the reservation and post this rally under the active section. Maybe we can exceed last's years count of 24. Thank you.

We are planning a june or july trip to Forillon up on the Gaspe, but I will do my best to work around it. Of course I'm counting on the winter Burro makeover being finished by spring!

Last weekend in June is good for us. I ran into Ann/Grammy46 yesterday. We were talking about how we'd like to meet up with the group again this year!

That last weekend in June is bad for us. I will be out of town or just arriving back on that Saturday taking 30 teens on a trip. Camping would be a good respite...but we may just be returning on that saturday. Pretty much any weekend in July works for us though

Well I have gotten a couple more yes for 29/30th so let's stick with that date and make it official. June 29/30th- Friday/Saturday @ Nittany Mt/williamsport KOA. I'll fix the header and provide additional information as I receive it. Now let's get thru this winter, safely!!

Darn, another one I miss. The weekend of a conference we always go to. I would have liked it. What a chance to combine fiberglass with genealogy.

Cindy,
We will have another rally in the fall here Burnt Cabins Grist Mill
sometime in late September, the color will be beautiful. Try to make that one. Also this one is a little closer to you than the June one.

Jim - question about Nittany Mt. KOA - Is there a good *calm* place to kayak nearby? Ed and I got each other kayaks for Christmas.
