So, Santa Claus came early in New York? According to the map you are about 5 miles from the Susquehanna. There is a pond in the cg, I'll check with them to see if kayaks are allowed. Congrats on a new hobby.

Assuming there's an access place, the Susquehanna is beautiful and slow moving.

"Slow moving" is the key. We are still novices.

Thanks Jim! It looks like we would need launch permits. I guess NY isn't the only fee happy state.

I just finished speaking with Michelle @ Nittany Mtn KOA- 570-568-5541 she or Meghan will be taking reservations. Although the CG is closed until 4/1/2012, they are there 10-3 m-f for work. The reservation is under Egg Campers for 6/29-6/30/2012 and there are 20 campsites on hold. They will he held until 3/1/2012, that is the deadline for making your reservation. They require a $35 deposit (one night) to hold your campsite- water,electric,cable,wi-fi. Let's try to exceed last year's number, tell your friends to come.

Good morning Don and Brenda,
I put # 178 on hold for me, near the dog area, so 121,122,124,125 would be next to us. Let's plan on some Cobb appetizers for happy hour. Send me a pm when you get your new "tug"

I'm staring real hard at the calendar and trying to figure out my summer travel plans. I think this could work out for a trip to the egg rally - then we could leave for the Gaspe around the 4th of July. Plan is for a 2 week photo expedition up there.

I'm almost done with the exterior rough sanding phase, should be able to finish that by tomorrow. Sanding off the terrible brushed-on roof paint has revealed a minor moonscape up on the roof. But nothing that a little skim of Bondo won't set right. I suspect poor Rucio might have been the victim of a hail storm at some point. Luckily the actual fiberglass up there is not compromised, just a wrecked gelcoat.

We're reworking the cabinet doors and making a little maple kitchen counter, too. We've fiberglassed in some supports for the rear overhead shelf, but haven't sorted out how the actual shelf is going to look quite yet. My next brain-fart is to build a new (read: not hideously clunky) front rock guard. I have checked out the video that is floating around on this site about building your own and might do a minor modification of that scheme. Oy, so much still to do!

Hi folks, we have a daughter in Williamsport and couldn't believe it when we noticed this rally. We enjoy the fireworks on the 4th in Wmprt so this makes a good stopover. When I showed it to my wife she says lets go,she picked up the phone and we reserved site #118. we will arrive the 28th and leave on the 1st. looking forward to it
