Hi! We won't be able to make it. Just got back last night from our trip to Mt. Rushmore and I'm suffering from Vertigo and walking like a drunk! It hit me last Sunday and I'm still floating and spinning. Maybe next time! Have fun and I'm glad that the fires settled down.

LIKE a drunk?????

OK, I know the feeling. My allergies make me feel like that sometimes. (And sometimes my allergicness to too much booze ) Sorry you won't make it, and hope you feel better!

Yep, just read the news! I am going to go in the morning and set up, but then I have to leave to get my pups. They are still at the kennel. I didn't get back in time to get them tonite. (Missed em by 15 stinkin minutes!!!

See ya'll tomorrow!

Kurt, try to get on the meadow side. I am sure you'll be there before me.

Chris,
We don't mind a bit if you stagger but if you'll be more comfortable at home recuperate quickly We'll miss you.

Gina,
We'll try to get spots on the meadow if we get there first, or near you if you arrive before us.
With my eyes dilated , Ann will have to handle most of the details.

See you there!

This sure was a fun 4 days! I got to monitor my battery usage for a little longer than a "weekend". I conserved on my lighting use and discharged my battery only 1/2 volt as measured on my LCD Voltage meter over the 4 days.

Looks like you guys had a great time! Thanks for posting the pics and, hopefully, we can make it next time. The weather was nice, huh?

Hi Chris! We missed ya!

Weather was spectacular, including the ever present thunder and lightning bouts! (We have crunchy sides, we don't care LOL!)

We got to meet K&As daughter and family. They came up for a BBQ last nite.

Fred and I explored. Went and did ALL of the Holcomb Valley Self tour. The Element is a bit.. er, dusty! Fred took pictures. Where are they???

This morning, we went for a hike across the meadow. LOVELY scenery down there, and a fresh running creek that Sticky decided to take a dip in.

We were driving during the first rain dump, and the second came just as I was hooking up. (Figures )

There are still 4 weekends open up there. I am sure I will be back up on at least one of them!

Chris,
Hope you are feeling better!
Weather was wonderful...a lotta , a few rain drops, spectacular cloud formations, clear skies at night to see the stars, good company, camping with the dogs, edible tri-tip steaks which I didn't burn too much, Fred's spuds, Gina's green beans almondine,...you got the picture. Fred showed up at breakfast with sliced cold cantaloupe as an extra treat.
Food sure tastes better when the scents are mixed with that of the trees after a nice shower has freshened the air!
The only thing missing, was more of our friends and FGRV family.

Thanks, Kurt. I'm feeling much better, not 100%, but well on the road to recovery. My friends say that I'm never 100% anyway, so who knows? I drove the 25 miles to work and back today without killing anybody, so I guess that I'm doing okay. Glad that everybody had a good time.

Gina - Only 4 weekends! Summer sure goes fast, huh?

Hey, Gina
I noticed the screen room in the picture Frederick took. It looks attached, or at least very close to your egg. Can you tell me what your set up is?

Hi Catherine,

It is not attached. It's a freestanding one from Wal Mart that they don't sell anymore.

Here is a link to it's story

Thanks Gina
Looks like you could have made quite a commission if you were selling those! You guys probably bought up every last one!! It looks great! Thank you, Gina. Maybe I can find something like it somewhere.
