McDowell Creek Park is not too far away - a beautiful day use park with waterfalls and fairly easy trails McDowell Creek Falls . There's also quite a few Covered Bridges in the area Covered Bridge Tour Route

Waterloo cancellation site 31A

Bob and Adonna asked me to cancel their reservation for the NOG Waterloo site 31A, which has water and electricity. Currently it is reserved from Wednesday to Monday. I plan to cancel it this weekend unless I hear from one of you who might be interested in the site. If you are interested, please post a response or send a PM. Thanks!

SHAREN & SIMON would very much like to snag their site, yes please, yes please! We have a tent site. So, how do we do this? I can send Adonna a check... whatever it takes. And Wed - Sunday is fine.

Ah Grasshopper (Heathgal) you have much to learn. Agates come in all colors of the rainbow. I likely am carrying 10 pounds of blue right now plus a slab of Montana Moss agate that has red and green. I have a small piece that I'll save just for you.

Dave,
Since we are anxious to tag along on your rock hunting tour at Waterloo, do we need a rock hammer or something to dig with I assume?

I loved that David Carradine TV show...

Dave,
Wish I could watch Season 1 through however many years it was on!
Are you up for leading our 'trip' to the Blue Field? I can't wait for the next two weeks to pass and finally be at Waterloo.
It'll be good to meet you and see your stash!

Just wanted everyone to know... I'll have help getting the participant list updated at the top of the first page the 4th or 5th of October. I don't want to wear out my helper! I'll print the listing and map and have them at the NOG.

Y'all bring SUN

All that will be needed is something like a 3 pronged weeder used in the garden.
.

'Caveat' This is rare and hard to find. You may find other agtes or jasper

The good news . . . .after searching today for petrified wood; everyone who wants a small piece can have one.

AND, when Dave opens the door on his Compact.... all these rocks fall out. Kinda reminds you of the Long, Long Trailer (trip) doesn't it

I have reserved 47A for friday through Monday. I'm still having trouble with my leg, so I've decided not to come. Can anyone use the site?

Rock hunting, etc.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone at Waterloo Park next week! We'd like to come along on the agate/rock hunt. What day and time will it be? Also interested in the hike, jewelry making, or other activities.

I don't need to be paid for the site, but am not sure how to transfer. Where do you live. Probably need to clear with the county. Donna may know what to do. My phone # is 541-726-5081

Found my old geologist's pick/hammer, and will bring it along for someone to use on the agate search, as Sandy and I do not do hikes any longer.
