Looking forward to meeting you Lizabeth! Keep an eye on the topic. Inevitably someone will need to cancel and you can probably slide into a site in A loop... if you'd like to make a reservation.

I'd update the list on the front page, but my new category doesn't allow me to edit even my own posts.

Our Good Sam Group is camping the week after at Elma, WA which is sort of on the way home. I will check with the wife, we may have to do the non reserved thing.

When I was looking at the site awhile back I noticed that if I asked for a site description of hookups it would tell me there was no match or none available and didn't say anything about the dry sites. I changed the description to non-hookups and then could see, at that time, they were all available.

Of course you could always call the County Park number. They are nice people.

It seems that our Texas trip will not be happening. So now we might be able to come if we can find a spot. Anyone needing to cancel or are willing to share electric with a non electric site please let us know. Thanks.

Thanks I will keep an eye on this thread and see if something opens up in the A loop.

Please add Simon and I in 14A - a tent site - but we'd move to a cancelled full service site if one becomes available. I didn't see our names in page 1's map.

I spoke to Carey at the reservation center for Waterloo. She checked with the rangers and they assured her to tell us that they will be closing the B loop one week later than usual. They will leave the restrooms open and the loop open until after our event. They said that means that there are 50 more electric and water sites on a first come first serve basis for any one who might want to come. Great news for those that missed out on the other sites.

The blue agates sound great. I want ONE...even a little tiny one will do. I'm wondering how many other Eggers would like to go on a hunt with you. Could you post a time when we could meet you at your campsite to either go on the hunt (caravan over) or to do a preliminary count of folks wanting to go (with the EXPERT rock man!) and scheduling the details of our little side trip? I'm getting excited already!

Me too. I have a rock hammer/pick.

I love rocks. It's amazing my Jeep can handle the extra weight plus pull the Scamp on the return trip home.

This is so much FUN. We'll have Dave Bese leading the Blue Agate HUNT, and if you are willing, we'd like to go on a FALL COLORS hike with YOU.
I say, "The more the MERRIER!"
We could meet at some specified time by your site and discuss time and place to caravan to the HIKE.

Sounds good. I am hoping that people who were in Waterloo last year will be able to help us plan such a "nature hike". I'm willing to beat the bushes (so to speak) to see if there are other good sources of leaf peeping information. We were overwhelmed by the great scenery around Silver Falls in April.
