North American Fiberglass RV Rally

It began as a small East Coast Casita Rally, and now with all the interest, we have started the first North American Fiberglass RV Rally.
The dates are June 18 to June 24th. Everyone is welcomed!!!!!wave :wave :wave :wave :wave :wave :wave :wave :wave :wave

A $20.00 pre-regristration fee is all that is needed to get your name on the reservation list. By the way, interest is so high that we may be able to book the entire campground. Lots of events are planned, like a possible pig cooking (have to find a local pig and local cooker), Tours of the area, a Corvette Plant tour, pet parade, (pets are allowed), pot luck dinner, pancake breakfast (men make breakfast for the women) RV tours and so much more. We are trying to get Reps from the fiberglass companies to come and give us a workshop. If you have any clout with one of the RV companies please help us out and get them to come.

E-mail me if you want to get a reservation in. I will have to send you my address so you can send a check.

Please read Charles thread as he has made a very good point.

National (?) Fiberglass Rally

Terry, we have as many Canadian owners of molded fiberglass trailers as we do American owners here on the Fiberglass RV website.

Maybe you should bill the rally as an International Fiberglass RV Rally or a North American Fiberglass RV rally, because I'm sure all owners are invited!

Also, for those interested, the 2003 Great North American RV Rally, sponsored by Good Sam's, Coast to Coast, Camping World, Trailer Life, Woodall's and Motorhome Club of America, is being held in Louisville, KY Monday June 16 to June 19. That rally traditionally draws several thousand RV'ers.

Unfortunately, Pam and I have already planned to spend most of next summer in the Canadian Maritimes, so we'll be unable to attend.

National- International Rally

Yes Charles you are right this rally is for everyone. I hope our neighbors to the north know that they are welcomed. Very sorry that you and Pam can't make it.

Charles do you know how we can tap into getting information out to the other rally? Maybe they would like to head our way on the way back. I especially would like to see some of those venders do a workshop with us as well. Can you help us on this?

Can anyone take charge of getting venders to our rally? It would be nice to have a day of vendors and RV reps at the rally. One person can't make this all happen and the more events we have the better it will be for everyone. If you can help with Reps or vendors please contact me.

Rally in Lexington June 18-24

What a fantastic response we have had for this North American Rally. Sites are filling up much faster than anticipated. If you are considering attending please don't delay. Looks like this is going to be BIG!!! Lots of activities and special events are already in the making. The first list of reserved reservations and payments will go to the Horse Park Campground December 1st. We already have a vast amount of different Fiberglass RV's signed up. Don't delay in getting your reservations to me. Susan :wave :wave :wave :chased :chased

The N.A. Confab.

Susan,

If the listed name grows any more you will have to reserve the entire campgroud for our banner to unfurl. How about a listing of the trailer types attending? I know you didn't ask for this info on reservation but it could be brought togeather somehow. Only a thought, might cause a few extras wanting to see their brothers in glass. Hope you have received my reservation, this gathering has become a completion target for me. Thanks for doing all this leg work, may the rest of us wave the fan over your sweaty brow when we gather, Fx.

RV Types at Rally

Frank: You are right on target, great minds do work together! Yes I did get your reservation, thanks. GP was my old stomping grounds as a child, it brought back some great memories especially at the yache club.

I will be setting up a date base with all the reservation names, states, and RV types after the new year. I plan to e-mail everyone and request what type of RV they have at that time. I would like to plan out the camping sites as to the RV types so all Bigfoots can camp together, all Casitas together and Scamps together and so on. This way it will be a rally within a rally.

Yes, by the way things are going we could have the entire campground. That would be wonderful.......

Camp within a Camp?

I think I see a PC problem, or as Ed Abbey said when entering a bar " I smell lawyers in here". With your concept I think the courts will enforce busing as an option to eliminate designed segregation. Can't we all just get along?

I'm just pulling your safety chain on this.

Thanks for the work you are providing us "freebooters". I belong to a fun little Sail Club, GPSC, just down the lake from your old haunt. You would be suprised how clean Lake St. Clair has become. Both environmental controls and Zebra mussels at work.

Charge the barricades, wave the banner, on to June in Ky., Fx

parking

Let's all be frank here. :wak sorry Frank, I've always wanted to say that.
I think you should have them as mixed up as possable or some one might think a certain type got perference in locations. PLUS one would fill more unified well mixed. Just my opinion. :m

Any way you want it

Mixed up is fine with me, any way you want it. Far better than being labled as showing favoritism. By the way Thomas and Janifer are you planning on attending? I don't remember you reservation arriving yet. Hope you can make it.

American vs NorthAmerican

Just throwing my PC-related thoughts in here, but in my world, American applies to the USofA alone, whereas North American includes the folks living in EhLand (aka the Northern CA), as well as us Amurricans and, of course, the often-overlooked Mexicans.

IMHO, Segregation by Manf belongs at ScampCamp, SkamperKamp, Boleramas, CasitaConfabs, BurroDroppings, (Yo, Steve, are you reading this?), AtheletesFooters, PlayhousePlantings, SurfsideSettings, TrilliumTrysts, etc., not at MultiNational Gatherings.

Hi Bill

Sorry to disappoint you, Bill!

Many have speculated that Pam is a figment of my overactive imagination.

Guess y'all at the North American Fiberglass rally will have to keep wondering if she's real ... :) :) :)

I'll (we'll) be up in Nova Scotia most of the summer!

And your first choice was...

The Scamp camp?

Sorry, Jana. It took me a minute to figure out what you're asking - but I think I got it! You would like for folks to respond if they're planning to attend one of the rallies next summer - either this one (the North American Fiberglass RV Festival - or whatever it's currently known as; I think the name has evolved ever since it was announced) or the Turkey Creek Missouri ScampCamp (see Joy A's post).

Any takers? :banana

skipping around

and to think I talk like this all the time. jump from one thing to another and assume people understand me. Yes I would like to go to a rally that a bunch of this group is going to. This one and the Turkey Creek are the closes to me so I'm inclined to consider these first. But I'm hoping as I camp some, I will get braver.

Washington DC Caravan

Check the other post. A caravan to Washington DC, has been added as a post-rally event. Come on up and stare down into the worlds deepest money-pit. See where your filandering congressman hangs out after dark. Vist the Capitol and see a partisan food-fight on the House Floor. It should be fun.
