Northern Oregon Gathering
April 28-30, 2006

Hudson-Parcher Park – Rainier, OR

I’ve spoken at length to the Columbia County Parks folks about coming back to the park. They’re excited to have the “Egg People” return.

Currently they are not taking reservations for April 28-30, it’s first come, first serve. They typically only take reservations for camping starting in May. However, I’ve been assured they know of no other groups who wish to use the park this particular weekend. If another group wishes to come in…they will accept reservations from us first. Right now, the only concern is the park may still be a bit swampy from rain (and this is three months from now!)

Hookups are $15 a night. Unless circumstances change, we need to register with the Camp Hosts when first entering the park.

Keep an eye on this topic for any updates to reservation information.

So…in order to keep the confusion down, we need to post our desired camp spots in this topic. I’ll update the lame map as the information comes available. Red spots are already chosen – blue spots are available. The green circles are covered picnic areas we may use.

Only if you leave the rain behind!

If you really could come, I'd share. After all my Scamp has two sleeping areas.

I just marked my calendar, and, if I remember correctly #9 is out in the open and the sun!

Hi Donna;

I'd like space # 1. Thank you for putting this all together again for us...soggy or not, we'll enjoy each other and the park. It's a beautiful little park, and a beautiful drive to get there. Again, Space # 1, arriving late afternoon April 28th, and checking out Sunday, the 30th.

I understand I'm registering with you Donna, and that I don't have to register with the park...just pay the fees when I arrive, correct?

I'm going to bring more Dutch oven Bar-B-Q Pork.

Thank you, see you on April 28th.

Hey Dave - Have you heard the words VACATION DAYS? Or how about a couple AA days - that would be Attitude Adjustment!

I plan to be there, wife and dog are still considering it and checking their social calendar. How about #6, if it is still open? If the weather doesn't improve may I suggest we all bring walkie-talkies. Sort of like an improvised LAN; it could become total chaos, of course.

As of RIGHT NOW, that's correct...the park system MAY open for reservations later.

Per...the park isn't as big as it looks on the map...believe me Enough space for privacy, but isn't a large jaunt between sites.

We'll be congregating between sites 4 and 5...nice big campfire too!

Donna is gonna run out and buy that little Princess trailer for me. Then she can deliver it to whatever space she wants me in. LOL!

Donna:
The park doesn't have to be very big to get us all good-and-soaked at the rate we are going here now! Maybe the rain will get it out of its system by then. It looks as if my wife is working that weekend, and the dog is having her nails done, so I may be there rattling around in that humongous Burro by myself.

Sorry to hear your wife and dog won’t make it.

Per, there’s a covered picnic area with five picnic tables just on the other side of the rental cabin. We can use it

Unless we hear the weekend is going to be bright and I’m bringing my E-Z-Up and a giant roll of clear plastic and wet weather clothing.

But, we’re determined to have it be

I had just about as much of this as I can stand

I'm bringing my E-Z UP too. So we should have enough cover if the sunshine is of the liquid varity.
