Maureen, sorry to hear you won't be able to join us. But it's understandable. And Yes, let's hope we'll see you in the Spring (April 25-27), I'll post the details of where we'll be... on Monday!

For all of the NOGger's,
I'm new to the board, but not to fall and winter camping. You'll have good weather this weekend, but don't forget your raingear, just in case. I won't be able to join in the fun this time, but may just show up for the food? You all enjoy yourselves and be safe to and from, and we'll meet when we meet.
JustDave

Sharen,
If you do go on Hwy 6, "Alices Resturant" is east of Tilly about 6 miles on the right. They have good food @ good prices.
Hwy 26 has "Camp 18" which is pretty unique. Daytime is best for viewing all of the antique logging equipment on display outside.

Well, we've made it to the campground. It is so beautiful with all of the leaves turning colors and the birds and all. Is this where we will be in the spring Donna? We may be gone by the time you get here so just wanted to make sure. There is blue sky overhead and hopefully it will stay for the weekend. And hopefully we will get to see a lot of you guys tomorrow night for the early bird pot luck. We'll have your space all warmed up for you Ann.

Tragedy partially averted thru quick thinking on my part - oh, and some great help from ReservationsNW.

We will blow in with our 13' SCAMP - 1982 on Saturday, most likely early PM. We have site A11 - so maybe y'all can make alot of racket and be annoying so they leave early (unless they are one of the molded egg people..). We are newbies - Nick and Janelle (or Norm and Esther as we are known when we travel in our "new" Scamp). What can we contribute? Will I get a chance to use my way retro, vintage, bullet cocktail shaker?

See you Saturday.

And for those of you who come on Thursday, there is the early bird pot luck. You are welcome to do dutch ovens or just bring what you can.

You're on your own Friday night... lots of us are roasting hot dogs at the commual fire... bring all your own stuff, go back to your trailer with all your own stuff.

Pot luck Saturday Night... 6pm

Pot luck Sunday morning breakfast.

There are no planned activities.... this is the NOG! Lots of lawn chair time, visitin' and very unorganized trailer tours.

Sharon, you want cash or booze for people to participate in your cocktail hour?

Makes sense to me . . . .

Peter - Thanks for the 'dance' and the sacrifice - do we need to pitch in and buy you a replacement jacket?

Sharen & Simon reporting in from the DRY library at Ilwaco at Cape Disappointment. We're soon packing up and heading for Champoeg and some blue skies and sunshine. We've had enough wet soggy stuff to last thru winter. It started pouring buckets when we arrived here Monday afternoon, and didn't let up until yesterday afternoon. Still, we've enjoyed the beautiful blustery beach - dogs love to run - and the Lewis & Clark history is staggering. Took in the Maya Lin "Confluence Project" as well. Not as impressive as I might have expected. The penninsula is fun and Dave K we enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the 42nd St Cafe thanks to your recommendation. Plus drinks at the Shelbourne... I'm bringing a loaf of their homemade birdseed bread with us, lil stale now, but toasted it shall be yummy.

We're traveling today to Champoeg so see some of you sooner than later and the rest of you later. Cheers all,
Sharen

Well, we have certainly had the rain tonight. There is about 14 eggs here already and about 20 brave souls turned out for a very nice pot luck. Huddled under the awning or gathered around the fire, it was really nice to meet all the new and old friends. There was seven dutch oven dishes and tons more great things to eat. Considering the weather it was a very good time. Thanks everyone. We will be thinking of all of you while we work in Washington this weekend and hope the weather improves for all of you.
