I saw two eggs on the hiway today, passing me, of course. I couldn't help but think they were on their way to Silverton.

Nope, I am not going to make it. Go enjoy my space, its B-6 and I didn't cancel it. Its mine until tuesday, even if I am not there!

I visited for the day on Friday. Silver Falls State Park has no cell reception, so folks are still incommunicado. Friday was a perfect spring day. We went hiking and did a lot of visiting. Folks visited the Oregon Garden Beer Fest, but I stayed mostly sober...

my (mostly vacant) scalp was getting too much sun. Dennis allowed me to borrow his beret. My grandfather studied the violin in Paris in the 1920s and when he returned to New York, he continued to wear one -- up to his 90s! So I feel like I'm continuing a family tradition.

I'm home!! What fun, fun, fun. Such great people and a wide variety of molded trailers. Couldn't possibly have had a better time if it would have been ORGANIZED The weather didn't always cooperate. Plenty of rain, mostly at night and managed to get soaked to my skin on Friday night standing around the campfire. But it wasn't all that cold until early morning. Since I get up to see the sun come up, couple of days it was 39 degrees inside the trailer (and 37 degrees inside the refrigerator ) Sorry no pictures to post, but did see plenty of folks looking through viewfinders... hope they share with the rest of us.

Gina, we missed you. Bill G. was able to give us a brief update and that made us all happy for you when you crossed into Oregon. Maybe we'll see you in the fall at Waterloo... I'm there for five days.

Thanks to all who brought wood to burn and tables for us to use for the potlucks. This gathering is a success because of your kindness. Couldn't do it without you!

There's a bunch staying over tonight at the park. I would have too, but my spot was already reserved and I didn't want to hookup just to move. Now that I'm home... wish I was still there!

Safe travels everyone, until next time

Exclamation

We were returning yesterday from LaPine SP and outside of Sisters we saw an "egg" pass our "egg" on Hwy 22 - Bob immediately honked! Later down the road we saw two more traveling together. Me (RonnaJean) says What's up? We never see ourselves in such numbers in one day? Rally - maybe? Where? At home in Oregon City I immediately searched the internet and found you all!!!! What a blessing ~ we are registering today for Oct 8 - 10 at Waterloo in Lebanon. We are "egg"cited to meet more of our look-a-likes!!

One of those two eggs was mine! Heading home to Bend on 22 I caught up with the Uhaul camper from our NOG somewhere east of Detroit and we "convoyed" together all the way to Sisters. (Who is that guy? I didn't get to meet him at the campground.) What's funny, RonnaJean, is that we saw you and your 13' Scamp going west on 22, preceded by a Scamp 5th wheel, and shortly after followed by a Scamp 16'er.

Simon & Sharen enjoyed a smooth drive back to Whidbey Island, making the trip in about 6.5 hours. Now the wacky time begins - more purging and packing for our big lil move down the hill.

Here's a wee video I shot which captures Eric being recognized for wearing his nametag... er, was he really?

Fun, fun time, despite a bit of drizzle. I'll post somemore videos of "C-R-A-M-P-I-N-G" and some of the falls. It's taking me the best part of the morning to upload them all to YouTube.

Thanks everyone. Special thank yous to DONNA for another brilliantly successful NOT ORGANIZED event. Well done kiddo. And thanks to newcomers Maria & Brian, and Chelsea & David (I hope I got the names right) for enduring our wacky event. Hope to see you again at another.

Oh, and... well, here we go... special thanks to Linda for the scrumptious harsh browns, to Kathy for her apple struedle French Toast (I simply cannot attend a NOG without it), and Deb for her delicious crock pot concoctions. And to everyone who makes NOGs so much fun to attend, my snivelly nose notwithstanding.

Cheers all,
Sharen

PS I hope this works...

OK, here's a short video called, "That's why it's called C-R-A-M-P-I-N-G!"

Sounds like a Scamp Parade to me and totally unknown to us all!

SOUTH FALLS at Silverfalls State Park: On Saturday, April 24th, Simon & I hiked down to South Falls, which falls 177 feet. Beginning at the top, these short videos take you down and around, and BEHIND the thundering falls. Come along with us and enjoy the hike!

Have fun and stay dry!
Cheers ~ Sharen

Thanks for sharing those fantastic videos Sharen and allowing us to revisit them. The falls truly are a wonder to behold. Sharon, thanks for letting me take Dillon and Riley hiking. Tell them it was fun and they got some pretty good bragging rights for that 5 mile trek. A litttle wet and a little muddy this NOG was, but still a good time. Really enjoyed our late night campfire Eric, after 1AM I think it was, but I guess you were just getting started. Bill G, enjoyable as always. And sorry about Frida, she can be a bit of a howler but she's fine. Thanks to those who showed concern. We'll see some of you at Maryhill, but we won't be at Taidnupam or Bandon so see you in the fall.

Hi Robert ! That guy ( actually guy and gal ) was myself and wife: Lee and Norma Senn out of Twin Falls, Idaho. I am really sorry I missed you at the NOG. I have been following your remodel on the forum and would have very much liked to have seen it in the flesh. I am about 80% through with a remodel/rehab on our little Uhaul. The floor plan we ended up with is very similar to yours. Perhaps we will see you at Bandon if you will be attending and we can meet and share notes. I tried to make room for you to pass when we were convoying but you seemed content where you were. I hope we didn't hold you up. Lee and Norma

Hello Lee,
Thanks for the kind words. Me too, sorry we did not meet. I knew I should have followed you into that parking lot in Sisters and said hello. Anytime you happen to pass through Bend, let me know, and we'll hook up. Literally. You're welcome to "camp" at our place. Plenty of room on our 20 acres for another good egg.

Cheers.

RJ
